Set within 19 km of Buncrana Golf Club and 34 km of Guildhall in Carndonagh, Joyce's Carndonagh Inishowen offers accommodation with seating area.

Very easy to check in and given helpful information e.g. where to eat and get breakfast. Room was spotless and bed was comfy. Yes you are over a pub we stayed on a Saturday night so there was some noise but once it was closing time there was no further noise and we slept very well. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if in the area.

Carndonagh has a surprising number of cafes restaurants and pubs, although doesn’t appear to be a major holiday destination. The Catholic Church is an impressive and imposing design from the 1940s and well worth a visit. I dined at Butterbean which had an extensive menu and lovely staff. Apache Pizza is a good option for take away. For other major attractions, I used my car fairly extensively, as public transport seems limited. Shopping in Derry, fresh air and beautiful views at Malin Head, Bird Watching in Lough Foyle, and leisure centre in Ballyliffin. Buncrana is well worth a visit too, a town with lovely character, the road between the two towns has breath-taking landscape, but please take care to avoid the many sheep grazing on the road😀

There’s much to do around carndonagh if you are driving.

There’s much to do around carndonagh if you are driving. It’s so close to malin head and also to Derry. And is on the wild Atlantic way so plenty to do and see. Seeing at Patrick’s cross and the carndonagh cross in the town was pretty cool. We are at Simpsons pub on one of the nights and the food was incredible.

Our intention was to walk on beaches and explore a little. Carndonagh is blessed by being inland and numerous wonderful beaches are less than than 10k in all directions. The 5 finger strand is amazing as well as Ballyliffin to mention a few.

Carndonagh is a great place but so busy traffic wise!

Carndonagh is a great place but so busy traffic wise! We ate in a small cafe but mostly ate in as there was a good supermarket nearby. Carndonagh is very easy to get around. Much as we enjoyed our stay in Malin Street I think we would try to find somewhere quieter next time.

Carndonagh is quiet little town which wouldn't suit everyone but I enjoyed it as I was there with my elderly mother who hails from there so nice to step back in time and share the memories with her. We stayed in "the butterbean" which is just superb. The locals are very friendly.

I found the place interesting we where just using it as a base to stay but would come back to stay and explore for a bit longer as it has many places of interest. Would recommend the butter bean b&b for somewhere to stay and eat. The town itself is easy to get round lovely place to stay
