I can't say enough good things about the Southern County Resort. It was perfect for our needs. The outdoor space was wonderful for the children and the facilities in the accommodation were everything you would need.

Wonderful location. Staff in the restaurant and at breakfast were excellent.

The rooms were extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. All of the staff couldn't have been friendlier, particularly in the spa and The Hound restaurant.
Borris is a lovely old style village/town in South Carlow.
Borris is a lovely old style village/town in South Carlow. Borris House and its surrounds give great character to the place. Plenty of scenic views in the area. The old railway viaduct trail at the bottom of the village is worth a visit.

Lovely quaint village with a fine estate house right in the centre of the village. Peaceful relaxing , an ideal place for relaxation and also close to kilkenny city . Lovely old pubs especially Joyce's. A magnificent viaduct that was part of the railway network.

Village has one great restaurant but lacks other choice's. Great surrounding countryside, river and hidden villages. Friendly locals.
