Margaret the Host was very welcoming which i have to say is the norm in Ireland. Their geographical position couldn’t be better as the property overlooks the sea. The property is immaculate and must surely rank as one of the best in Baltimore! Breakfast was a great typical Irish breakfast and was a great start to our next port of call. If you go to Baltimore in Ireland do yourself a favour and STAY HERE!!

The location was good, the room was clean and comfortable and the views from the room were amazing. The host was so nice and even dropped us in to make dinner when our taxi wasn't able to make it on time so we weren't late for our reservation. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and so fresh. We really enjoyed our stayed here and would def stay again.

Steph was absolutely lovely and the minute I called her upon my arrival she came out to greet me, have a laugh about the fact we have the same name (!) and show me around the property so that I felt at ease with how things worked. She also took the time to tell me of some lovely walking routes - which was very much appreciated and I promptly took her up on and did the circular walk down to the water and back (highly recommend it!). The studio was extremely cosy and well equipped. It's a beautiful old structure and the bed was amazingly comfy - very welcome after a long 5.5hr trip down from Mayo. The shower was lovely and hot as well, and the place was spotlessly clean. The next day, her neighbour also was very kind and helped me reverse back out of the property easily (not my favourite manoeuvre at the best of times! 😂). I'd stay there again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it especially as somewhere for a solo traveller who's a bit nervous about being on their own for their first time in a while! Thank you so much again Steph!

Honestly everything was exceptional, the welcome we received, the lovely staff, the gorgeous estate house which felt like it was ours for the weekend, the grounds, sauna, Sky Garden and of course the comfy beds. We left feeling so relaxed and are still floating on air. The blue skies and sunshine helped too!

Baltimore harbour was beautiful and wild during the storm when we arrived. The next day all was calm and sunny, so we enjoyed the village and it's very nice restaurants.
The vegetarian pizza + fresh fish and chips in Jacobs was delicious.
So was the burgers in the Algier Inn.
There is even a 2 Michelin Star restaurant if you are foodie
We hope to come back during the summer to go whale watching and explore Cape Clear.

We stayed one night basically to stay at a place away from a city and nearer the sea. Quaint town, but did not have time for excursions…ate dinner at a nice restaurant out of town a short way from Rathmore House recommended by the house owner, called An Siben.

Wonderful view of the bay and islands.
Wonderful view of the bay and islands. Boat trip to Sherkin Is. and Cape Clear highly recommended. Please pick up rubbish and loose string as it can damage seagulls.
It is easy to get around except when the town is full!

Baltimore was lovely, it was very clean and the people we encountered in the bar and shops were really friendly. It is really close to Skibbereen which has more in the way of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Casey’s in Baltimore was lovely for a read session and outdoor seating area to take in the views.

The harbour area was lovely above the harbour was hotels & bars where you could sit & enjoy all the comings & goings. Lively night life. great walks around the area. The Beacon is a must to walk too. We went on the Fastnet tour from the harbour a definite recommend. We ate at the Algiers Inn Gastropub a definite treat, great food & great staff, you cannot book a table only down side but worth the wait.
It is a hilly area just to be aware.
Lovely house in close proximity to the centre of Baltimore. Rhianne thought of everything! She helped with transport from the airport, the breakfast was superb with so much choice (and the bread and jam were both home made!), there was home made cake and tea making facilities in the room, my Mum is a little unsteady on her feet so Rhianne opened a different way in for her to make it easier - lots of little things that added up to a wonderful stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Stone House to anyone visiting Baltimore!
Rianne was the best hostess. She had wonderful recommendations for dinner. Made brownies as a welcome treat. Her breakfast was incredible and she was generous with her time in talking about attractions and the town of Baltimore. Additionally, she was warm and welcoming with a wonderful passion for her quaint town. How great that this B&B is an eco-conscious house. WOW!
Casey’s is a very comfortable hotel with a fantastic restaurant. It has a gastronomic pub style atmosphere Baltimore is a stunning location and the view over the estuary from our room was beautiful.
Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and the staff so friendly,
We were very sad that we couldn’t stay for longer.
Lovely hotel, right on the Baltimore waterfront. Our ensuite room was spacious & cosy, with an excellent bed and a window offering a panoramic view of Baltimore Harbour. Great breakfast, all staff excellent, friendly & helpful. Restaurant closed (as off-season) but good pub food (steak/fish & chips) at the bar.
Ideal location between baltimore and skibereen, ideal for families or couples. Place was perfect and the staff, Johnny in particular could not have been more helpful or nice to us for the duration of our stay. Will definitely be back again some time. Couldn't rate it any higher.
The personnel was attentive and made sure we had everything we need. The room was spacious, the view was gorgeous, it was peaceful and quiet. The dining room was nice and the breakfast was really good. We would definitely go back if we were to go in this area again.
The hotel manager was very nice and even upgraded us to a seaview room. The room was a bit cold as it was still early spring and I called down to the front to ask about it, again the manager was helpful and even came up to check and see if the heating had come on.
owners were delightful and welcoming . dinner and breakfast were superb. dining area my favourite part of the property , quite Tyrolean , most pleasant.
gardens and plants very interesting.
family make great effort to retain high standards and satisfy customers.
Staff are extremely helpful! They helped to book a tour and gave us great advice about the area. Their restaurant is fantastic, and the breakfast selections were amazing! The hotel itself is very comfortable and is a ten minute walk into the seaside village.
We were in the Stone House for a family wedding. Rhiann as a host couldn't have been nicer, providing us with home-baked goodies at oportune moments, and advice about the best places to swim and also history lessons about Baltimore and West Cork.Amazing!
Margaret and husband are very welcoming. The property and views are just lovely. Breakfasts are devine. Close to the township. Casey's hotel is close by with beautiful meals. Enjoy the islands or fastnet lighthouse ferry trip close by.
We loved the beautiful, peaceful setting, really handy for exploring the surrounding area. The cottage was cosy, bedrooms were super comfy and the bedding was extra lovely. We loved the private outside seating area of our cottage.
Very authentic B&B. It has a lot of personality, they open their house and you feel like if you were staying at somebody's house not just a hotel. Breakfast was like the one your mum does for you.
Great location for exploring the area. One of the few places that have choices for breakfast...and it was delicious!! Margaret can give you great tips for exploring!!
The amazing view from the bedroom window, plus Margaret's friendly advice about Baltimore. We had a delicious dinner in the local pub following her advice.
