Bali’s oldest beach resort retains its reputation as a glamorous alternative to nearby Kuta. The coastline of Sanur has a long stretch of white sand lined with restaurants and bars. It is tailor made for chic clientele or families wanting to relax in an exclusive resort or villa without the need to party into the wee hours.
Sanur is also a popular day trip destination for tourists staying in Kuta looking to do some water sports. There are many companies offering diving along its submerged outer reef, jet skiing on top of its blue waters or paragliding in the cool breezes above this ocean paradise.
The shoreline features a cycle path that is also perfect for walking and jogging. At its very northern tip is the ferry terminal that offers boat trips to Nusa Lembongan, a small island off the southeast coast of Bali that is famous for its laid-back atmosphere.
Sanur has its fair share of markets providing an impressive range of artistic handicrafts such as wood carvings and batik paintings. Best of these are the Sindhu Market and the daytime beachfront market.
Sanur is the closest beach to the island’s capital, Denpasar, with its many temples and museums. Booking.com has a range of hotels along Sanur Beach or close to Ngurah International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport.

Sanur is a wonderful place to visit in Bali!
Sanur is a wonderful place to visit in Bali! The vibe is more relaxed compared to the busier areas like Kuta, making it perfect for those seeking a peaceful beach getaway. The beach is beautiful, with calm waters ideal for swimming and enjoying the sunset. There are plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and shops, but it still retains a charming, low-key atmosphere. Highly recommend Sanur for a more tranquil Bali experience!

Loved Sanur and will stay there again. Found it difficult to contact Booking, com and will not use them again as we are very senior and not all that computer literate.
Bluebird taxi the best and make sure whatever cab you take that they put the metre on, a favourite place for breakfast/lunch was Daily Baguette.

I visited Bali for the first time in 1978 and each time I returned I was shocked about the changes.
Bali suffers from overtourism, people have become greedy and very money-minded. Most businesses are owned by foreigners, try to find a restaurant that serves genuine Balinese cuisine - not in Sanur. Sorry, I don't came here to have international food. When I finally settled for Mie Goreng, it was prepared with instant noodles. Very disappointing!

Small, perfect hotel with rooms set around the pool. Room decor all good quality with a lot of attention to detail. Lots of power sockets. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast very very good at the Cafe. We chose upstairs to eat as more relaxing. Pool water temp perfect. Staff exceptional! Friendly and attentive. After rain the balconies were swept out & dried. Great position Central Sanur. Beach access across road down lane. Perfect for happy hour at the MayaTree Bar. Supermarket and restaurants all close. Would recommend. Very good value.
a lovely older hotel ..charming and comfortable and most definately affordable..I’ve stayed several times here and if you want something quiet and your running to budget then this is fine as a base to explore the rest of Bali..I really like Sanur and you are near enough to some high end hotels that are also fun to stay at for a night or two ..but the Seaview is old and established which suits me..!
A well maintained hotel, but it is dated. Brachfront location, pools and entertaining right on the beach for free!
The room I chose was ocean front but happily it had a massive balcony looking out to sea.
Sanu shopping is not as good as other parts of Bali making Sanur very quiet. Not the place to stay if you are looking for wild. If you want quiet beach vibes this us the place to stay.
Location is everything, 1 minute walk to main street, in central Sanur, quiet, older Balinese style hotel, clean, huge room & bathroom, air con great, comfy bed, not too hard, 2 big pools, basic but lovely breakfast included, staff friendly & helpful, great price for money, will definitely stay again
Located on the beach at Sanur. It’s an older hotel but it was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was really tasty. The location was very handy.
