We felt very comfortable at D-Rima Homestay, which is lovely and clean. Ricardo, his family and team are very friendly, and helped us with any question we had. We rented a scooter (very well maintained) and explored the beautiful surroundings of Ruteng. We recommend asking Ricardo for his tour tips. Laundry service was great, and food really good (though portions could have been a bit bigger). Our favorite host was cute husky-mix puppy Spencer. Altogether, good value for money.

The host family is lovely and very welcoming. It was really nice to stay with a local family and share meals and conversations. Location is beautiful. Not very central in Ruteng, but for me that was a plus as it is more peaceful and the view is great.

Everything! Super clean and the shower has good hot water. I didn’t take the breakfast but there was hot water available to make our coffee or tea. Mari the host was super polite and kind, she ensured that everything was going well. Mita the staff was so friendly and cheerful, making me feeling at home as soon as I arrived. I slept really well and too bad I only stayed here one night. If I ever come to Ruteng, I will def stay in this homestay.

Great place and owners. I arrived late on a rainy evening and they responded to my messages quickly. It's got almost everything you need in a hostel: comfortable beds with blinds, hot shower, kitchen, all clean and well-maintained. Owners are very knowledgeable about the area and you can find information on touristic sites around as well as bus routes and schedules in the kitchen. The place really has that family vibe going for it so I ended up staying one more night.
