This is a stunning area of Bali with the Geopark and many attractions around. Totally different pace to Ubud and other parts of the south. Thoroughly enjoyed the change of scene and pace here, and as always the people are so nice.

Loved this area, so different to the many other areas we visited, perhaps because it is cold at night and hot in the day. Lush and wilderness feeling with stunning vistas of heights and mountains, lake and village. Surprisingly upmarket spas and cafes and accomodations. Multiple hot springs each more elaborate than the next. Loved the regular village life and agriculture going on everywhere. I was hesitant to put Kintamani in our 3 week itinerary but it was unique in Bali, spectacularly beautiful and that great mix of tourism convenience but with regular Balinese life going on all around you.

    Beautiful place!

Beautiful place! But it is bali.... so expect rubbish, lots of traffic and run down places. But no matter the look, the food was fantastic and so cheap at every place we went. This isn't a party place, but if you do plenty of activities during the day, hiking, bike riding, white water rafting ect youll be in bed early! The hot springs in town- Toya desa- run down charm but loved it! Has terrible reviews online but they seem to have fixed all those problems eg/plastic over the food and allowed refund of cash if you paid by cash (not entry ticket) to load up a token you use (handy cosyour constantly in the water) Massage wasn't great but facilities good. The other hot spring- great massage! But really bad facilities and pools. Mt butar is fabulous. Sunrise hike was incredible... but its extremely cold at the top, so bring warm gear. Beginners hike but it is a mountain so no thongs/flip flops. Great place to visit for 3-5 days.

It's very beautiful place, but a lot of fly and too cold in the night (take more warm clothers). Road from Amed was too hard for our old bike. Regina bali - very tasty restoran with fresh fish.

The best view that you can find in Asia.

The best view that you can find in Asia. The people are nice, there are 3 ways to reach there are a lot of options. The police also actively manage the street to get rid of traffic. A lot of nice restaurants with the best view.

I would recommend to visit Kintamani for the coffee & the beautiful views of nature. Visit Volcano Batur for a hike to see the sunrise (bring hiking shoes, wind jacket, water, small breakfast & headlight, you are not allowed to do the hike by yourself, you pay for a guide).

We choose this accommodation to see the sunset and sunrise. But because it is also in the middle of nowhere you cannot do anything else than enjoying the magnificent views. A small walk around the area is also very steep so you are kind of bound to the location. You can order food on the premises (small menu) for normal prices and it is cooked with only fresh ingredients, same for breakfast which was also great. But the beds were the best we had in Bali. Definitely recommend.

Kadek was amazing. He was very attentive and helpful to our needs. He was also our guide for trekking the summit of mount bartur and he did a great job taking care of my mother and helping her get to the top. 5 stars for his service, attentiveness, and always making him self available to our needs. the views from the hotel were breathtaking. the beds were very clean and comfortable. ac worked very well. everything about this place was amazing.

The bungalow is comfortable and the facilities of the hotel are beautiful. All the details, the doors, statues, plants, are cute. The little pool is a perfect place for a lovely sunset with the volcano view. The breakfast was very nice. The staff don’t speak much English but are very kind and helpful, google translator always helped!! We stayed for nearly one week and had an amazing time using all the spaces in the facility.

The setting was stunning! We had mountain views from our room as well as from the restaurant and pool. The room was huge and exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were given a free scooter to drive around for the day. I woke up both days for sunrise. It was so beautiful to watch the mountains light up and listen to the birds and bali temple sounds in the background. A highlight of my Bali trip.

We are an extended family of 9 people. The manager Mowgli gave us very good tips for trekking on Mount Batur in the morning. He organized it for us and we had a great hike! Bonus: he is very nice! The rooms were beautiful, mattresses were hard, best we had over 10 different hotels. The pool with the view was great, perfect to recover after the hike. I loved the place

The view from the room is exceptional! You can see the lake and mountain view from the swimming pool. The villa is pretty small and so it felt very private (which is great!). Overall it was a nice experience to stay and I would recommend anyone this villa to stay around Kintamani area.

Very nice girls working in a hotel, helping and making you feel very welcome! Good vibes! Nice cafe on a second floor with a view to the lake! hot water by the pool and in the room! Water is just a bit warm in a pool, not hot. We enjoyed it like in a private villa as there was no one!

The views of the mountains were amazing. The location made mountain and lake activities more accessible than in other areas of Bali. The staff provided a free shuttle to the main road. Staff were easily contactable by WhatsApp, and were no problem when we left early.

There is a lot of privacy with the hot spring within the premises. The view is also great overlooking the the lake and Mt Batur. I would rather use the hot spring facilities of the hotel than to use the public hot spring which lacks privacy but offers a great view.

A great location if you want to relax before climbing Mount Batur (get ready to wake up at 3:00am) Pool with hot water from the mountain is really nice. Bed quality is perfect. Temperature is lower in the region than other area of Bali so be prepared.
