Szolnok was a great and positive surprise to me. The city centre is very green, full of mature trees, the buildings are kept in good shape. There is a beautiful long park-cum-promenade along the river Tisza.

Try the Pistachio Ice Cream in the small ice cream shop (Caffe Verganano) near the main street going to the Tiszabridge, it's delicious.
Streets are very clean and not so much people around. The place is quiet, calm and tranquil. Take time to check out the fountain with healing water outside Hotel Tisza and Thermalbath.

Travelling for work, I stayed multiple nights in Szolnok. We tried some excellent places for dinner. The Russian restaurant and Bajnok Ettram were quirky and brilliant finds, with excellent food and service. The waters reflection of the footbridge lights, over the Tisza, is beautiful. A real highlight when out running in the evening, a refreshing, flat, pedestrian friendly river bank route. Nice place with nice people.

I liked the quaintness of the city.
I liked the quaintness of the city. There is a lot to do and see. Restaurants are really good, the food is super delicious. Try the Halász Csárda! But that was just one that I remember since all of them had great food and great service. People are shy but once you start speaking with them they open up. Speaking Hungarian helps, which I do, so maybe it swayed my thoughts on that point but try to speak politely and it will go miles in that country in general.

I like the Rose garden design and its surroundings. The walk along the river was excellent with lovely views of the 2 bridges across the river. In the evening it was really nice to see the young people having social time and relaxing. The view of the river confluence was marvellous. Getting around Szolnok was easy as many of the important places are within walking distance. I had lovely dinner at the Galeria restaurant, where the staff were really welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful. I wish to visit the Aviation museum on my next visit to Szolnok.
The location was superb, less than 5 minutes from city center and river. Service very friendly, host met me when I arrived. Breakfast made to order, could choose either warm or cold and was prepared at a time of my liking. Room was spacious despite being small, had a couch and a desk with chair. Private bathroom. All clean. Air conditioning worked very well. Amenities provided. Free, private parking on site. Very quiet. Great value.
It's a small yet cozy hotel in a great location with private parking. The room was nice, modern, and very comfortable. The breakfast was various and delicious despite the smallness of the hotel. The staff was very kind and attentive. In conclusion, it definitely exceeded my expectations.
The owner waited for us in front of the building. The communication was very good. The appartmant is in the centar of the city and the parking is closed with the gate so the vehicle is safe by night. There is one big bed and a sofa that can be opened to form a big bed.

This is a second time we are visiting Szolnok and staying in this apartment. Everything is on highest level, great communication with friendly host, clean, cozy and comfortable apartment, great location. Private parking place available. Definitely recommend.
This was a stop over for a long trip across Europe. An absolute hidden gem, I will never find a hotel in this price range as good as this again in Europe I guess. Staff, Hotel and City 100%+. Totally worth the extra 10 minutes drive of the main M4 Motorway.
The apartment is warm and cosy. It is modestly equipped, but all of the essentials are there. Located in the very center of the city in the street with free public parking over weekend, it offers a perfect choice for a single or two nights stay in Szolnok.
The location is next to the rose garden, and a pizza restaurant and the Coop supermarket are not far from the hotel. The hotel has the cafe facing to the riverside to look nice. The spa opens at night is very relaxing. The room is quiet and small.
It's a very nice and well-cared-for place. I loved the room, the balcony, the bed. Breakfast was really great and the staff was very caring. Parking in the city center is a big plus. I will recommend this little hotel to my friends.
