Everything is just like the pictures, we were surprised that even though the spa area is not very big, it has everything you need to relax for a couple of hours and it was much better than larger ones we've been to (the jacuzzi really works and gives you a good massage, not just bubbles, the saunas were very hot and properly cleaned, there is free water and towels available as well). The room was huge, too bad we only spent a night here. Dinner and breakfast were also great, the options were super tasty and we did not miss anything. We highly recommend this hotel even if it is a bit more expensive than others.

The location is excellent, 10 minutes walking from the castle and the baths. The pension has free parking on a side street and a large courtyard where you can relax. The rooms were ok, the bed was comfortable and our room had a kitchenette. The food was excellent and the restaurant where they served dinner is very good.
Unfortunatly the roads are worse and worse in Hungary.
Unfortunatly the roads are worse and worse in Hungary. Gyula it’s beatiful, in the autumn you can make great photos. I’ve found very neat and cozy restsurants such as Varkonyi bistro, was always full with guests, the food was very tasty, serving 1st class. They have a cookie shop named The 100 years old cookie shop, but was under renovation who knows till when, that was bit sad, I always visit it.

Visited Gyula Aquapark for 2 days.
Visited Gyula Aquapark for 2 days. I can say that it was nice but seems like they try to charge you for everything:
* 1.5 EUR/person city tax;
* parking near Aquapark about 8 EUR/day Monday-Sunday.
Food & drinks pricy compared to similar Aquaparks (Szeget, Mako, Timisoara).
Long waiting time at restaurant queue (restaurants with no waiters or waitresses).
Very crowdy at the hot thermal water pools.

Nice town with history. Clean, people were nice. I loved that everyone was biking, bike roads were everywhere, the people seem to be friendly and know how to spend a good evening. The restorants were full , the streets were full of people. It was lively. I wish I could have stayed more.

A great small town with fantastic spa and the second oldest cukraszda in Hungary but first in taste to money ratio.
Dobos torta and Chokolate Mousse is a must. But not together please...
Gyulai famous kolbasz and Bekes palinka finish it all.
Enjoy!
Last but not least the castle and the small picturesque streets close to Varfuerdo.
I keep on coming there as you could understand.

Very nice little town, with a great thermal facility and nice people.
Food was delicious (both at the Spa, and in the city - Skorpio pizzeria).
Too bad the weather was cold (which is normal in January). We plan to come back in Summer to enjoy more ...

The Botaniq Room is in the center of Gyula, has a great location. Everything is at walking distance (castell area, Gyulai Várfürdő, ect.).
The design is modern. There was space for everything. The rooms are cozy with new, modern furniture, our double bed was very comfortable. Nice and clean bathroom.
Breakfast was served at the nearby hotel, and it was good, with plenty selection of food.
Staff is very nice and eager to help with anything needed.
The place was cozy, spotless clean, located on a quiet street. Everything is new, it's super close from the Center and the Aquatic center. The hosts came in person to handle the keys, when we called them. They were extremely nice and friendly and showed us the apartment. I totally recommend it!
The property is at 3 minute walk from the Spa Castel Gyula and the castle/lake. The apartment is alone on the floor, with a little terrace at the entrance. The apartment has an allocated closed garage space, so the car was safe too and no parking had to be payed
A very nice hotel with lots of character right in the heart of Gyula. The room was large and comfortable, the facilities were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was an excellent choice at the breakfast buffet.
