Everything was perfect! The Stella Mare is essentially a "villa" with few - but well furnished - apartments run by a very lovely family.
The owners and the staff make sure you feel like at your own home: for us it worked!!!

The swimming pool and the restaurant are simply amazing and both of them have a "wooooow" view.

Location is amazing. Nature all around, beautuful views and many bike paths and walking posibilieties with amazing views. We had all inclusive option and it was definately worth it. The choices of food were great and qulity of food was amazing. Quality of drinks could be better though.. room was alright. Everything seems renovated not that long ago. Amazing view again. We seemed to have an upgrade as the room was bigger that I expected so thank you for that. We also had some treatment in the room as we had our honeymoon. Employees were friendly and helpfull.

Zavala is a place with mesmerizing sea view, smell and isolated feel. A good place for a good rest.
Where to eat? Davor is a restaurant that attracts tourists outside Zavala, and it is a great place, however, I would prefer Skalinada restaurant, hidden nearby the beach, with a nice terrace and great chef. I think it was the most tasteful food I ever tried.

There are no street names only numbers of houses in Zavala, it can be difficult to find your house, ask your owner in advance! There is only one little shop in Zavala, but we enjoyed that it is a quiet place and if you want to do the shopping you can go to Jelsa. There are more small beaches, we liked the one in front of hotel Skalinada it is free, not only for hotel guests, there is a superb bar there, we loved to drink virgin Mojito while sitting in the shade of big olive tree enjoying sea view!

Charming, non-touristy village, perfect for relaxing. Several big and small beaches, so it's easy to find a spot where there is no one else. Zavala has two shops, bakery, a bar and several restautants, Atm and possibilities to rent SUP, kayaks or boats.

Hard to get to, expensive to get there and back, but this is perfect if you are there to relax. If you are thinking of heading into Hvar Port or perhaps Stari Grad for the night, consider staying elsewhere.
You go to Zavala to get away from the these touristy places. It's a relaxing timeout and you do't feel tempted to go to these busy places, you just kick back and enjoy the beautiful beaches and view.

Great for couples who are not interested in partying - scenic and beautiful with welcoming people and fresh tasty food. Water is as clean as can be and if the weather is as good as it was when we were here, then you're in for a treat! Eat at Pizzeria Davor and stay at Guest House Marjan or Skalinada.
Good location, really peaceful area, a great view of the sea, spacious terrace. There is also a place for a barbecue. The kitchen is pretty well-equipped. The whole apartment was very clean, a bit old-fashioned. 10 minutes to the Plaza Zavala, which was good for us, it is not overcrowded (in June) with a tree under which you can have a rest when you do not want to sunbathe. There is only one market in the neighbourhood, you have to go to Jelsa for bigger shopping.
The host is very friendly.
Clean and well equipped apartment with loggia in nice and quiet area, only 2 minutes easy walking from the Zavala beach. Several dining options are nearby and bakery, just next door. Owners are very nice and always smiling. We were pleased with the complimentary bottle of local wine and home-grown tomatoes from a well-kept garden under the apartment. Problem-free arrival by car and parking available just next to the building entrance. We enjoyed the whole stay very much.
The hosts were so welcoming, went out of their way to help us; you can't get such kind service in big hotels, even in very expensive ones. Enjoyed nice fresh fish at the restaurant. The area was peaceful with beautiful beaches; stayed up one night to see the sun rise and I don't think I ever saw so many stars in one sky. My stay here was my favourite part of my travels this summer - my friend and I agreed we must come back in the future! thank you very much
Zavala is beautiful, very calm and peaceful. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The surrounding gardens are stunning and the owners work very hard to keep it maintained. We traveled with two young children and the hosts had organised a lovely cot for the baby and even a baby bath which we hadn't requested, so was very much appreciated. The beds were very comfortable and I loved the European sized pillows!
Perfect hotel. Amazing view directly from the hotel room. There is a panoramic pool. The restaurant is ok. Tasty dishes but a little bit overpriced. Very good service, friendly staff. Nice waiters. Friendly owners. Cool trip to the island Hvar. Tunnel. Own beach is also amazing. Extremely clean and crystal clear water. Perfect blue color of water like from Bounty ad:)
This was the best holiday we´ve ever been. We had a reservation for 5 nights, but we decided to stay 1 week more because everything here was amazing. From the breakfast to dinner and also the best Jakas family are very nice and friendly people. The pension is only 2 minutes from the beautiful clean Zavala beach.
Cannot wait we will come back again next summer :)
Very relaxing couple of nights in Zavala. Stunning views from the balcony. Parking on site. Beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea. Enjoyed a couple of meals in Restaurant Davor where the food is excellent. Short drive out to visit Stari Grad and Hvar. Great host, nothing was to much trouble, thank you for a lovely stay, highly recommend
Staff was very polite and helpful. Location couple steps away from the beach. Very quiet and not crowded place to stay (September). The breakfast was included in the price. We recommend Zavala and especially Zaca for anyone that is looking for a secluded place away from big cities and its noise.
Perfect place in Zavala, just one minute to the main beach. Our room was accompanied with big terrace and kitchen facing mountains, opposite to the sea and it was great space for meals with cover from sun. Greetings to very friendly and hospitality owners.
The location just by the sea and next to a small beach, which was a bliss in the morning when nobody else was there, is great. Zavala harbour is a 10 minutes walk away following the paved trail along the coastline. Very convinient.
Zavala is a perfect vacation place! The house is close to beaches, and the apartment has a wonderful view. The apartment was specious and perfectly clean. The owner and housekeeper are friendly, helpful and kind.
We enjoyed our stay in Zavala. The hosts were very friendly and we liked the breakfast. Room was clean and spacious. There was a terrace with view on the sea. We drove to Hvar town in about 45 minutes.
