Really fun old town with great dining options and sundowns.
Really fun old town with great dining options and sundowns. Roman ruins and city walls are beautiful. Everything is walkable and they have a walkway for running or walking that encircles the entire old town.

We visited at the end of September/beginning of October.
We visited at the end of September/beginning of October. Zadar is a nice place, without all the tourists of other well-known cities, but close enough where you can make day trips if you want. A very nice walk along the seawall up to the Morske Orgulje (sea organ), a must-see. Recommend strolling there early in the morning. In the evening, everyone gathers to watch the sunset. Old town area is close by. We took an all-day boat tour out to Kornati Island. Well worth it. Would stay in Zadar again.

Zadar was lovely for it's seaside views.
Zadar was lovely for it's seaside views. The sunset in the old town was amazing. Also the promenades by the water were great. The old town is definitely a must to visit and try some good at.
2 days in the old town are enough to visit everything you need. Would recommend visiting a few places close to Zadar if you have a car, if you are staying any longer than the two days.
Nin has lovely beaches and the Islad of Vir was very very nice for the seaside views and some very tasty icecream

I can recommend the good informative walking tour of the city. Our guide Eva was excellent and showed us all the main tourist spots giving us a brief history along the way. We loved the famous and unique Sea Organ. The Ancient Glass Museum is well worth a visit too.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel, nestled in a quiet area of Zadar. The location was good, just 20 minutes on foot or a 5-minute drive from the vibrant old town. Our room was clean and serene, featuring a spacious balcony that provided a nice space to relax.
The staff were consistently kind and professional, enhancing our experience with their warm hospitality. We also appreciated the convenience of free parking in the hotel's private area.
We needed a place to sleep 1 night on the way and then visit Zadar as an "extra". The location is easily reachable by car, many shops nearby, but old town is a long walk, better to go by car. The appartment is well equipped and we had a huge place. The owner is friendly and helpful, answered both booking.com chat and sms/telefon within a short time. Would have been suitable for longer stay as well.
Anja is lovely and her apartment is equally adorable. Right next to the Forum you could not have a better location in Zadar old town. Beautifully decorated it belies its front door and stairs, high spec in every sense and good Wi-Fi. I loved staying there as nothing is far away, but I still felt I had something much more than a hotel room to return to.
Definitely the best appartement we had ever stayed. The host is awesome too, the appartement is stunning, you can find anything you want, better than most of 5 star hotels! Like at home!
