The location was excellent for accessing the ferry port and the town. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. Everything was very clean and tidy. There are plenty of good restaurants in Vela Luca which are within 200m from the hotel. The staff were exceptional and were very attentive to requests. Breakfast is extensive with a wide range of hot and cold options.

What a lovely stay we had. Vela Luka is a lovely quiet town with little to no tourists so we really felt at peace here. We were greeted politely and were given recommendations on where to go, sea and eat in Vela Luka. We were gifted a treat at a local restaurant since we were referred to eat there. Really nice outdoor courtyard, nice large comfy beds with heaps of room!
Right next to the sea and offering free Wi-Fi, Apartments Vala is 1.5 km from the centre of Vela Luka. It features air-conditioned accommodation with a furnished balcony.
Guest House Kod Peškarije offers free Wi-Fi and air conditioning just steps away from the charming Vela Luka promenade.

The location of the room is perfect just a few minutes away from the city centre. Also the lady from the hotel help us a lot to find parking and gave us information about the area. Clean room and comfortable.

Very comfortable bed, good size room with balcony, and the bathroom was a very good size. The facilities throughout all functioned well, plus a nice view of the harbour from the balcony. Great pillows.
The positions is close to the action in town. Highly recommend.

Lots of friendly, locally-owned restaurants and bars with great character. Wonderful local food cooked in traditional style at numerous restaurants. The food was delicious everywhere we ate - all fresh local fish, seafood and vegetables in vast quantities - every serve can easily be shared by 2 people. A large range of Croatian wines were available at the restaurants and bars at very good prices. It’s very economical to wine and dine in Vela Luca.
Swimming in the crystal clear sea off the rocky beaches is wonderful.
Plenty of walking and cycling trails out of town into the countryside of the island.
Fishing and boating activities are extensive.
We enjoyed the walk and visit to the Vela Spila cave for a glimpse of life 20,000 years ago.

Vela Luka is an ex-industrial town on Korčula island.
Vela Luka is an ex-industrial town on Korčula island. It is not as historic as the old town of Korčula (although there is an archaeological site from the Neolithic). It is more down to earth and does not try to be as upscale as the old town of Korčula which only strives for upscale tourists now. But Vela Luka is still close to super beaches and has shops and bars, that are much more pocket friendly than the old town of Korčula. Take a boat to nearby Proizd island or a taxi boat to the main beach. ... you will not be disappointed.

Loved the little balcony, loved the "city vibe" from the balcony! Also appreciated the fact that we were close to the town center, close to everything like shops, cafés, restaurants and supermarkets! The room was so comfy and most importantly CLEAN!

Quaint and authentic town with some lovely beaches nearby.
Quaint and authentic town with some lovely beaches nearby. Wasn't as lively as some other places I've visited in Croatia/felt a little like it has fallen on hard times, but we still really loved the community atmosphere. It was surprisingly difficult to get to from Dubrovnik as there is no direct ferry and the busses weren't running on Sundays

Its very different to Korcula town, it has great places to swim within walking distance of the town, has good value restaurants and accommodation, its not yet spoilt, lovely to mix with locals as seems to have more local holiday makers than overseas ones. Good cycling but not many places to refuel on hot days - so be warned, carry plenty of water with you! Don't expect pretty narrow streets and hustle and bustle - ( like in Hvar, Trogir and Korcula old town) but do expect a nice chilled time for a very reasonable price with welcoming locals.
If you want to feel and explore Vela Luka with a full local sentiment, the Mara Apartments is the perfect spot to start your journey! The place is run by a local family and Mare, the main host, is extremely friendly and truly helpful! As the place was quite booked (like Vela Luka in general), we used three different rooms during our stay and all were equally good (that's why I'm giving scores three times). The free parking place is a true bonus in a narrowed and crowded place like Vela Luka!
The apartment was wonderful. Nina hosted us very nicely and came to pick us up by car at the ferry port. She showed us which places we should visit since this is our first time in Vela Luka. The accommodation is very close to the center, about 10 minutes on foot. The apartment contains everything you need and is very clean and tidy. We especially liked the interior and the large garden with a barbecue. We recommend it to everyone who plans to visit Korčula and we hope to come again! :)
Sobe Andreis offers basic accomodation and kitchen for a fair price. The lady that rents out the rooms speaks very litte English, but upon arrival someone else helped us with all the practical stuff. The owner was extremely nice and made great efforts to understand us. She has the nicest little garden. Very central in Vela Luka, everything within walking distance. Small beach across the street. Don't come for great luxury, but fully enjoy local hospitality!
We liked everything! Location is in the center of Vela Luka. We had the whole house for ourselves, more than we needed. The upper terrace has an amazing view and the most beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed from there🥰we had a garage which was super practical, plus the car was always cool. Hosts were amazing and friendly, gave us tips for local beaches and restaurants. We had a warm welcome, a hospitality typical for people from Korcula❤️
Dream house for a dream holidays. Peaceful location just under 3 km from Vela Luka somewhere in the middle between Gabrica and Pičena Bays. Parking with a view for a car and then you have a house among olive trees just for yourself. With a brilliant terrace, private beach, two jetties and many pieces of deck chairs and other sitting equipment scattering through the property. Also the owner Nada is very kind.
The room was large and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and great for sleeping. The location was perfect. It was on the main street and had a perfect view of the bay.
We were picked up and taken to the ferry by the staff. We also rented a car through the hotel and were given greats tips about driving around Korcula Island. The staff was accommodating with our travel plans.
so comfortable. host was very helpful and friendly and gave good recommendations on what to see and where to eat. Konoba Mate and MiraKul. also the right beaches to boat to go to. the return ferry to split landed right out the front of the apartment which was so convenient instead of driving to Korcula town.
Perfect hotel manager, on-line, and even after 21:00 he came and helped to fix not working electric stove.
Excellent location (you can swim in sea outside downstairs) and beatifull sea view from room.
Host lets us gratis to park our vehicle even couple hours after check-out - thank you.
Very good value close to everything you need in Vela Luka. Owners are very friendly and helpful. They are willing to give a lot of detailed information based on what you tell them you would like to do. Their sweet dog is a bonus.
Very nice house located few km away from Vela Luka. It has everything you need for your stay. No neighbors nearby, so complete privacy guaranteed. Little below the house is a nice bay with a bar. Very nice experience.
Great location and very professional host. We spent you night there on our way to Korcula after Lastovo. The accommodation is simple but offers everything you need for a short stay. Really great value for money.
A well loved small apartment with everything you need. 1 min from the sea in wonderful bay. Great sandy area close by for kids. Very helpful owner. 10 mins from Vela Luka town. Off street parking.
Very good accomodation in Vela Luka, it was a very modern room with air conditioning, two beds, the bathroom was top modern, with hair dryer and very good decoration. Very kind owner.
Lovely host, Radmila was amazing. Very kind and friendly. She is the best.
Acomodation was beautiful, peacful place, comfortable and cozy. Every recomendation in Vela Luka.
The location is close to the Split-Korcula ferry although far from other sites on Korcula
Island. The apartment was very up-to-date with good air-conditioning and showers
