Apartment (ground floor) is very comfortable and well equipped. Everything looks like just new.
It is also very well located just few meters from Preko center but still far away from crowd. You can have a very relaxing and calm time if you only need.
It is also very close to ferry, 10 min of walking.
Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Among many things we really liked sincere hospitality of our hosts and the perfect view towards the Adriatic Sea, Zadar and Velebit Mt. in the hinterland were probably the most impressive:-) The apartment was very quiet and peaceful, just the same as is a little town of Preko as a destination, enabling as to enjoy a really nice family vacation...

Preko was fantastic, there's a great ferry service to Zadar (always on time and very economical - just make sure you get the right one as there are two, one to the old town and one to the new!) but more than enough to do on the island itself. There are plenty of nice places to eat, little shops, a couple of supermarkets and a beautiful marina. We hired bikes and paddle-boards (can highly recommend Martin the 'Rent-Man') and so were able to explore a lot more of the beautiful island - we completely fell in love with it.

We fell in love with Preko. We are very well travelled.
We fell in love with Preko. We are very well travelled. This place is special. It’s unspoilt and quiet. The sea is fabulous. It’s clean and stylish. I’d not recommend it for big groups wanting nightlife but for others who want peace in a beautiful location, it’s great! The Croatian people are lovely too.
Everything we wanted was at hand- restaurants and bars (but we self catered); small but adequate supermarkets; a daily fish delivery (near the bus area or in the small market in the village); the little island; the quiet beaches (rocky); the marinas and everything. It was a marvellous place to unwind. We were there 4 nights (easy ferry access from Zadar) and we just chilled. The 3 nights in Zadar were great too!

Good access through ferry from Zadar, good beaches, also sand beaches, not super crowded in the high of season, possibly for renting equipment around, many old small streets and local people. Super wiew to mountain's and Zadar, clean water around.

Preko is a magical destination, overflowing with wonderful Croatian hospitality. Short ferry ride to Zadar, good outdoor local market. Fantastic base with or without car for beautiful day trips to local sights, beaches, etc. Preko is easily accessible without car hire from Zadar airport, not far from Zadar old town and then ferry across to Preko.
Preko is a lovely destination for all ages, with or without children, for people who love nature and enjoy the simple things in life, being at one with nature.

Beautiful scenery and weather, friendly locals and very friendly service everywhere we went. We were there just before the “on-season” started, and were looking for a relaxing beach holiday rather than an activity-filled holiday. Given that, we were very happy with what was available and the island never felt overcrowded. The only negative is that the restaurants, although plentiful and with friendly service and great views, were sorely lacking in variety and quality, especially for the prices. Great for coffee, ice cream and pizza.
Why would you pay 60 euros in Zadar suburb to rent a small apartment with a view on a concrete (blind) wall when for 40 euros you can have your own apartment including a terras overwatching the see, with sunrise in the morning at the back of the apartment and sunset in front of the apartment in the evening?
The host invited us with a drink (beer or jus d'orange) and told us about the environment (this is an island only 25 minutes from Zadar with ferry) which was a very nice surprise and very welcomed.
This is a beautiful hotel. It’s pretty new so the decor is modern and stylish and it’s very clean.
The rooms are lovely but I found the double room small.
Great location close to the port and the beach across the road with private seating for hotel guests.
The staff were friendly and attentive.
The food was very good quality and reasonable price too.
The hotel is small with limited rooms which keeps it quiet and private.
The pool area is really nice and well maintained too.
Comfortable and clean apartment with all the important facilities and plenty of outdoor space. We loved the sea views and proximity to, harbour, restaurants, shops and beaches. We really enjoyed the terraces and balconies which we could enjoy in perfect peace and quiet. Additional cuteness are the lovely dog and cat who politely visited us and we loved playing with them. For any possible dog or cat haters out there, they are really not dangerous or in any way obtrusive.
The location is fantastic. Open the back door and the beautiful clear sea is a few metres away. The town facilities are a very short walk away. There are wonderful coastal and hill walks, olive groves and views across to Zadar and the mountains. Ferry access is easy and there is a bus service for the island.
The apartment itself is spotless and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen and an enormous bed. The owners are kind and helpful.
Very clean and roomy place. Good communication with landlord. Property is ca. 150m to the Preko centre and one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. There is ca. 15 min of walk to Preko port. Entire island is very attractive for tourist who like beautiful beaches and hiking tours. Very close of the house starts the path to the ruins of Sv. Mihovil and caves inside the island.
Perfect place for vacations! Maggi is kind, very helpfull. We traveled around, Maggi told us a lot about where to go, what to see. We felt like home all week. There are all equipment, place is clean. Location is very covenient - ferry is near, beach is very close, centre of Preko is near. We would like to come back to this lovely place surely.
Everything: Location, Cleanliness and friendly gesture from host.
If you are planning to visit Zadar highly recommend to stay in Preko ( in Island Uglijan) rather than staying in mainland. Less busy beaches and good food.
And if you decide to stay in Preko always look for Sea view Mateo. Our six nights stay was such a pleasant experience.
Loved every minute of staying here. Exceptional setting, perched on a hillside which is reachable by foot from the ferry. Stunning views from the breakfast room.
The host was amazing. He welcomed us into his home, which had everything you needed for a comfortable stay in Uglian
Only wished we had stayed another night.
Location is perfect, a few paces from Jaz beach. Penthouse apartment very spacious, clean and well equipped. Nice big towels. Great balcony with amazing view. Good AC. Maria delightful and helpful. Great communication. Easy walk from ferry. Quiet but close to cafes, restaurants etc. Perfect for us
Great place to stay in Preko :) The apartment was great, very close to the ferry, beach and grocery store. The owner was super kind and accommodating. We were using his bicycles and we basically traveled through the island just riding on them. Highly recommended it.
We didn't have the breakfast but the guest house was fantastic and in a great location! 5 minutes walk to the beaches and restaurants. Really lovely owners who were very accommodating. Lovely swimming pool for cooling off after a day on the beach.
The hosts were friendly and helpful with the tips on how to navigate around the island. The place is clean, nicely furnished and comfy. Would come back here again. :)
