Wonderful location, especially to Plitvice national park - there is a side road to entrance P3 ferry that you can walk to and not worry about going to entrances 1 or 2, pay for parking etc. This route was not advertised anywhere and the front desk folks told us about it. Good onsite restaurant with free breakfast and other meals (paid). On site mini zoo (they have dogs, rabbits, goats, pony, pigs etc) and play areas would be a kick for families with small kids. Staff were very friendly.

Ante, Lucy en their kids gave us the perfect experience in Plitvice River House. The River House is situated near the park but in a very quiet and rural environment. After a warm welcome they gave us perfect and honest information about what to do in the park and after a full day of walking around, a nice dinner was served. The food was good, local and perfect portion size. And during dinner, and breakfast as well, Ante knew exactly when to show up at the table! Service with a capital S. Thank you!!

The place is very peaceful and qualitative.
Lovely house, with many flowers and plants : make you feel in the nature and very relaxed.
Charming and pleasant atmosphere.
Great advise to visit the park. Entrance 3 is privileged access because not many people enter via P3.
This is a original and genuine experience ! Can’t miss !

It's the best place if you want to walk Plitvice Lakes park,...
It's the best place if you want to walk Plitvice Lakes park, in my case I stayed 3 days because I like walking almost every path 😊. If you're a fast walker you can do the park in just one day but it's better to take your time, that place is dreamy. Plitvica Selo is a tiny location where you can go to the park via entrance #3 where you can avoid loooooong lines waiting.

The location is amazing.
The location is amazing. The lookout at the top of the main park waterfall is a short walk from the premises. The quiet serenity of the area is remarkable. Getting up early for a walk in the misty paths was a true treasure.
The room is truly comfortable and homely with all amenities required. Host Ante is a great cook and also shared ideas and things to do with our upcoming stays in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik, which helps a lot in especially choosing a restaurant.
I would truly recommend this stay. It is a great location.

Plitvice Selo is just a couple of houses without any shops...
Plitvice Selo is just a couple of houses without any shops but mostly cottages/apartments for rent, but with a few restaurants. It is very close to entrance 3 (15 minutes by foot), so you do not need the car for your stay. From entrance 3 you can either walk or take the boat to the other end (included in the daily pass of the national park - book in advance!). It is a lot less touristic, but this also means you will not find many places to buy food (even inside the park) or eat in, hence a good accommodation which provides this is very helpful.

Plitvica selo is a small village right next to the P3 entrance of the Plitvice lakes. It is a quite village in nature without any stores. There are only a few places you can eat or have a drink within walking distance. For more choices you need a car. It maybe difficult to be in Plitvica selo without a car. Great place for outdoor activities such as walking, hiking and biking.

This small village was originally a dairy farming community...
This small village was originally a dairy farming community tucked away in a small glen among the mountains of Plitvice National Park. A few miles off the main highway, it is accessed by a lightly trafficked country road with occasional breathtaking views of the canyon below and the river flowing out of the Plitvice Lakes. The inns, in keeping with UNESCO rules, are the original historic farm buildings, which have been renovated on the interior. The inns are within walking distance of a lesser known and lightly used third entrance to the park, from which one can begin exploring this beautiful National Park.

Beautiful place in the heart of the beautiful lakes.
Beautiful place in the heart of the beautiful lakes. We stayed here while it was raining which did not stop us from enjoying beautiful sceneries and nature overall. We bought raincoats for decent price easily. Definitely coming back for nicer weather. Place is the heaven.
This is one of the favourite places we have ever stayed. It is incredibly peaceful and a beautiful location. We really enjoyed sitting outside each evening having dinner. The staff were fantastic and our 7 year old loved all of the games and activities dotted around the site.
It is a few minutes from the park entrance and the staff helped us plan a route around the lakes that avoided crowds. Was a much better place to stay than the generic hotels in the park.
The place is so quiet and beautiful!
The rooms are so new, i loved all the details
Be wear that the kitchen is equipped! You can make yourself a dinner.
We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and we don’t regret it !
We order mushroom soap and cauliflower soap both were so delicious!
We also ordered three main dishes: beef steak, boneless chicken and Trout fish cooked in paper- all were exceptional!!
The staff is so polite!
Very friendly and helpful staff, they also gave us useful tips of what to do in Croatia. This extra effort was really appreciated. Topnotch food selection prepared by Chef Padron with his own home made ingredients. Hotel includes playing facilities for children and is located in a very tranquil area, minutes away from entrance 3 of the Plitvica National Park. Free parking facilities.
What an incredible location, hidden away near an unlisted 3rd entrance to Plitvice Lakes. This is a family run lodge and when you are hear, you are treated like a favorite family member. There is incredible, local cuisine available for dinner & breakfast with an extra charge. Well worth the extra cost! The AC worked super well and the bed was very comfortable!
Location was great, close to the entrance of the national parl. Owners of the hotel were very welcoming, they were making sure you are fully comfortable. We liked the food a lot, especially my son, even though he does not like omlettes, he ate his first omlette as it was really delicious. Highly recommend the hotel.
Perfect cabin in the woods very close to Park Entrance 1. There is a stream that runs past the back of the cabin.
Fully self-contained so we made some of our meals there. There is a restaurant nearby. Beds were super comfy and the cabin was toasty warm when it went cold outside. We were there in April.
The room was large and beautiful, and the location is great - it's just a 10 minute walk to the national park. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, both of which were good, and very convenient after a long day of walking. The hosts were very friendly and helpful
The owner of the hotel offered the best service one can have. It was a very cozy place with a country side feeling, but still really closed to the entrance. Breakfast was served at the time you wished. You could enjoy sweet and beautiful pets while eating outside.
It was a large area with many places to walk around and enjoy the property. It was very quiet and serene. The location near the entrance to the park was perfect! The staff was the reason we had such a nice stay. They were very kind and eager to please!
Delicious dinner in the on site restaurant. Breakfast had so many choices I wanted to have a second one! Staff were helpful telling us about the “secret” third entrance to the national park in Plitvica Selo and running us through the best itinerary.
This is a very beautiful hotel with a nice interior, the location is nice and close the park but it’s still a drive of course to the entrance. Unfortunately it was raining so we could not fully enjoy what the hotel had to offer
What a wonderfull atmosphere! Good food, and such a kind owner/family. The location, just near entrance 3 was also perfect. And the evening quiet of Plitvica Selo was also supernice.
Exceptional hospitality, helpfulness and kindness of the host - big thanks to Hotel manager, Miss Milica for warm welcome and friendliness during our stay.
