Great view from the balcony overlooking the sea. Plenty of variety at breakfast however it was the same everyday, there were coffee machines however if you did ask the waiter staff they would make you a fresh latte, etc.. so the staff could be more proactive and offer fresh coffee options at the table.

FAQs about hotels in Dubrovnik

The Pearl of the Adriatic

A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.

Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colourful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.

Surrounded by turquoise waters, Dubrovnik Old Town sights include the picturesque Stradun, Onofrio fountain and the Franciscan monastery.

The city’s cable car will take you up to Mount Srd from where you can savour panoramic views over the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buses connect Dubrovnik Airport with the city centre, and Booking.com offers a variety of hotels, apartments, and guest houses throughout.

Dubrovnik is an amazing destination for both individual, family, and friends trips due to the impressive architecture (fortress and white marble streets, sea port) and rich history! The beaches are wonderful. I definitely recommend to visit Old Town and port, and to swim in the sea (Lapad beach, Sunset beach, Valamar hotel beaches at Babin Kuk are great and highly recommended!). Food is great, I strongly reccomend sea food in Barna (name of the cafes) - very tasty and reasonable price, located also in the Old Town!!! Generally, it is quite an expensive resort, so it is good for the vacation combining sightseeing and beach rest!

A lovely city much restored and impressive.

A lovely city much restored and impressive. The people of the city were very polite and friendly despite being swamped by visitors 10 to 1. The city's history is very interesting, and there are many places to visit inside the walls. We found the 3-day pass useful, if expensive, but be aware you can only enter each place once. Local Bus travel is Free and unlimited during these 3 days! Everywhere was extremely clean and tidy. There are hundreds of steps inside the town and outside as the area is very hilly, but public transport is very good outside the town and not expensive. Uber is also available. English is widely spoken and menus and museum displays have English texts. Prices are similar to central London (high) but the quality of the food, wine, beer and Ice Cream is very good. (Locals say prices rocketed when the currency converted to the Euro). Fans of the "Game of Thrones" TV series should definitely enjoy visiting the town and seeing where so many scenes were filmed. The many steps will be a challenge for some people, but I feel much fitter after 7 days there, despite the many ice creams!

Beautiful and historic city that is sadly being overrun by crowds. Cruise ships, tour buses, too many people. Still worth seeing for a short stay. If I ever come back I would stay somewhere outside the Old City. Lots of great restaurants, museums, shops. Walkable. Very very touristy.

Very beatiful old town, but Dubrovnik is way out overfilled.

Very beatiful old town, but Dubrovnik is way out overfilled. Every corner is full of people. Not a nice experience. Personal at bus station and in certain shops are rude and don´t seem to like tourists. The bus shuttle that takes tourists to the airport is absolutely disastrous. Bus station ticket sellers and shuttle bus drivers are rude and don´t make an effort to make tourists feel comfortable. Dubrovnik is on the verge of collapsing due to excess tourist flow, even in a month like september.

The room was very nice and the sea view is well worth its price. The room we used easily fits 4 (2 adults and 2 children), having two bathrooms was very convenient. Breakfast was excellent, especially the omlette bar. The hotel is part of a bigger royal hotel complex with various restaurants, possibility to swim the sea, spa etc. Also tried the spa, very good. Connection to Dubrovnik old town via bus was very simple and convenient. Would definitely recommend this place. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Everything about this hotel was 5 star. The rooms were very large and comfortable with lovely decor, the staff were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. The facilities were top notch and it was well located having panoramic bechfront views and with an easy walk into the old town. Being off season we got extremely good value for money as the room rate was very reasonable.
