We spontaneously booked one night at Jelinic apartment on our way to Dubrovnik. Apartment in size for a family of 4, well equipped. An additional advantage is a garden grill. Beautiful surroundings, although not by the beach. Very nice owner. I highly recommend this place.

A very quiet town. Had a couple of largish supermarkets and a couple of shops selling toys / household goods / a few clothes. Very nice pizzeria also (Pape). Castle not open to visitors. Apparently the town is well worth visiting for the monthly market. The area around has a lot of agrotourism detonations and Benkovac makes a good base to drive to various national parks, Knin fortress and the coast.
