We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pilikas Villas and would definitely stay here again. The villas are very private in a beautiful, peaceful location and the outdoor private pool area is amazing. We didn't want to leave the pool! The host Diana is absolutely lovely and is always readily available if you need anything.

Very good breakfasts. You can pick out of similar variety of food each morning. And u can also ask kindly personal of the hotel to make scrambled eggs, omelette or bacon on a frying pan. Rooms are good and spacious. Vathy (city and residents) has bit specific atmosphere. For example its kinda difficult to find out how and when certrain shops and restaurants operate. Usualy there were something like breakfast spots, bakeries, coffee shops wich operated more in the morning and restaurants wich often started operating around 17:00 or 18:00. Safe bet is restaurant Kohili. Restaurant Poseidon is more fish oriented. If u are traveling, u can also visit Agori (restaurant) in Frikes (village) or Kanenas (restaurant) in Stavros (village). Those are very good. If u are traveling there for historical sightseeing keep in mind that there is just a little left from so looooong ago. Yet in my mind, its still is unique feeling to walk through Odysseus's former kingdom.

The property is set back from the main road through Vathy, and is scrupulously well maintained and very clean. It is up a flight of stairs, and there is no lift, so that would need to be taken into consideration before booking. It faces sort of East, so only gets the sun on the balcony first thing in the morning, but the balcony is a lovely place to sit out, looking out over the harbour of Vathy. The apartment was uncluttered and spacious, and has a floor to ceiling wardrobe and drawers next to the double bed. There were three different weight bed covers in the wardrobe, but that did not detract from the amount of space available for storing clothes. The little kitchen area had an Illy coffee machine, a kettle AND a toaster! There's a good sized fridge, and cupboard storage space. The host changed the bedding and towels at regular intervals without being asked, and even did some washing up for me that I'd left after breakfast. The bin in the kitchen and bathroom were emptied daily.

Welcome gift was fruits , beer , wine , Coca Cola and water which was very thoughtful of him. Location of the house was perfect.
Lovely local village. Very friendly people and some great tavernas to choose from. Margarita's is the best cafe! There is also a small museum. Easy drive from here to local beaches. Also 10/15 min drive to Frikes and Kioni.

Stavros is a vibrant little village in the mountains. There are numerous tavernas and cafes to choose from. We liked Kanenas and Ithaca restaurants for traditional Greek food and Delicious restaurant for great Italian pizzas and burgers. There is one supermarket, a mini market, an organic greengrocers, 2 butchers, a bakery and a pharmacy, so everything you could need really. There's a small playground for younger children. Odysseus's palace is a 1km walk away and is quite disorganised at the moment, but apparently is being done up in 2020. Stavros is a good central point for the north of the island, but you do need a car to get anywhere else and there are some great places around - Frikes, Kioni, Polis.

Great base for exploring Northern Ithaca.
Great base for exploring Northern Ithaca. Friendly locals & like the rest of the island its great for walkers with many walks of short or long duration. Some nice beaches nearby as well as lovely wee villages like Anogi with its very friendly traditional kafenion, Frkes & Kuoni.
Perfect central location for exploring the north of Ithaca and just a few minutes walk into Stavros with its restaurants, cafes and shops.
The accommodation is new, very clean, modern and has a lovely garden to relax in. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was excellent. There was a nice welcome pack awaiting us.
Sophia and Yanis were great hosts and manager Christina was extremely helpful and knowledgeable giving us lots of information on the area.
This was the second visit to Mazourka as it is set in a stunningly beautiful location, Afroditi the owner is such a wonderful host and the room was exceptionally clean. Just a short distance from Stavros set in the middle of nowhere, it is a perfect for anyone wanting to explore the home of Odysseus. I will definitely return.
Everything was exceptional, from the facilities and the cleanliness of the room to the very welcoming and helpful staff. We also loved the location, so close to the port of Frikes and the gorgeous beaches of Polis and Kourvoulia. The village of Stavros also has everything you'd need, from resto's and bakeries to a pharmacy.
We highly recommend this hotel as we have no complaints, far from it! The maisonette was very clean, neat and with a very nice view! The hosts are very friendly and helpful!As far as the location is concerned, it was really magical, with only a few minutes from the village and the beaches! We will definitely come back soon!
Well equipped kitchen and very clean with a great amount of supplies. Easy and secure parking with a lovely and well maintained garden. 10-15 minute walk to Frikes centre and a short drive to Kioni, Stavros and many beaches and restaurants. If you have a car it’s a great location for exploring all of Ithaca.
A comfortable and spacious apartment in a lovely peaceful semi-rural location on the edge of the small town of Stavros. The highlight is definitely the large balcony with fantastic views out over Ithaca. Very well equipped. Lovely friendly owner.
