The hostess Mama Maria was so sweet...she was very kind and loved our children 😁. She even brought us some Greek doughnut type treats that were delicious! It is a beautiful, well-appointed spot on the edge of town overlooking the water. Tris Ekklisies is a lovely secluded place on the South Coast. We were there in mid-April and saw one other person on the beach the two days that we were there. It's a bit of an adventure to get there but driving over the mountain down the windy road and taking in the village's dramatic location was part of the fun (the road is fully paved).

This was easily one of the most hospitable stays we have ever had. The owners were so kind and treated us like family. Nik made us breakfast in the morning, we weren't given a menu, the food just showed up and it was delicious!! Everyone in this area was so nice and wonderful to my 16-month-old son. The room we stayed in was clean and functional. The beach was awesome, we were the only people there. Some rocks but 99% sand.
When we were heading out he gave me his card and told me to make sure I emailed him if we had any problems or questions about the island. I cannot express how great the customer service was.
The beachfront Triton Authentic Cretan Hotel is just 10 metres from Tsoutsouros Beach.

Are you looking for a house in a village at the end of the world? You found it. Manolis will gladly take care of you so that you feel like you are at your grandparents' place on vacation. The sheeps will wake you up in the morning and the cicadas will sing you good night. You can gather strength and relax in the old stone house with magnificant view from the terrace.

It is a tiny end of the world place, with 3 tavernas we never saw the churches after which it was named) . There is tourist accommodation and the tavernas serve decent food. It is a simple place which is its attraction with one supermarket. The beaches are shingle with some sand, but without tourist sunbeds or umbrellas. The waters are clear and you can swim off the village beach or go further in either direction( by car) to quieter bays. The western one has superb clear water, and the tamerisks provided a bit of shade. The rugged mountains and gorge behind have vultures soaring above them and a few goats. The approach road is now tarmacked, a big improvement of a few years ago, but still very steep and dramatic. The stars are very clear here at night.

Paranimfoi itself doesn't have much to offer (not even a shop or cafe if I've seen it correctly) but the nature around is great. Got mountains, a waterfall and gorge nearby and it's a 20min drive down to the beach.
