We were collected at Skiathos Port by a member of the Avaton staff by a private transfer who was very kind and helpful - taking our bags and driving us to Avaton Hotel, Suites and Villas. Upon arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very welcoming and took the care in explaining all that we needed to know.
We were then showed to our room which was absolutely exceptional - a hot tub on the balcony and a bottle of wine on the house! The rooms are very spacious, immaculately cleaned and the beds are HUGE and very comfy.
Dinner at the Black Pepper was outstanding with special thanks to Tre and his team. He is an incredible asset to Philian Hotels and Resorts and we were so pleased to see him after visiting last year.

September visit- Peaceful location, nice clean beaches, amazing swimming pool, awesome beach chairs, good breakfast, great firm bed and daily housekeeping, very clean, daily top up of fresh water and coffee capsules, plenty of towels (also beach towels included), excellent wifi, recommend to visit as a couple, not very family friendly (no playground, no kids amenities in room etc)

Accommodation clean in a quiet area, although the road in front of the hotel is quite busy.
For those who want to cook, the kitchen is not very well equipped, lacks a jar, sponge towels. We ate in the restaurants in the area so we did not use.
There is no reception and therefore no services such as calling a taxi, transport to the airport. Make your own arrangements.
Nowhere did we get information in advance that breakfast starts at 10:30! Moreover, it was served without a choice. Nobody asks you if you want tea or coffee. Which way do you want your eggs. You'll spend the whole morning there. Breakfast is a waste of time and money.
The Marina Hotel never again.

Location was excellent right on the beachfront and only a short cab or boat ride to the main town. There were two gorgeous pool areas that were serviced by a bar and cafe. The buffet breakfast was amazing - they didn't forget anything. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Beautiful part of the island. Very easy to get around as there are taxis and a bus service which runs on the main part of the island.
Beaches are clean and very safe for children, snorkelling is good, food is fantastic but has crept up in price from previous years. Service in restaurants is always warm and friendly. Lots of beach activities, which also cater for young children.
Excellent hotel. As a returning customer, i was surprised with what i saw. A totally "new" hotel, with clean rooms and halls (all the shared spaces were sparkling clean, the stuff was very friendly and helpful in each and any request i did, the breakfast was (finally) very rich and tasteful.
I suppose there was a change in management witch transformed this hotel to a true 4+star hotel! Awesome job.
Ill definitely suggest this hotel and return for some summer vacation days there, next year.
lovely peaceful setting. Downstairs bed very comfortable. easily accessible if you have no waking difficulty’s. outside space lovely. Friendly local neighbours. nice views.Felt safe. Beautiful beach ( although very expensive )
Host easily contactable and will try to solve issues quickly I.e we found we had no corkscrew and the shop didn’t sell them but one was delivered within half an hour of asking.
Short journey by bus into town where there are lots of reasonable priced bars and restaurants

3) 500m away from a semi-private beach. Great for getting away from the crowds. But on a steep path. Need good shoes and to be fit

7) Easy drive to nice nearby beaches including Koukounaries
Eva the host was superb. Helped us with places to go, shopping and made us feel welcome. Great view of the coast from balcony. Two great beaches with in walking distance and the bus stop just a short 5 minute walk away. There are local restaurants that serve exellent food. Handy with the shop been underneath for all those forgotten bits and pieces.
The house is very beautiful and roomy, it has all the comfort and the facilities we needed, it is surrounded by trees and the bus station was right in front of the house. Our host Alex, was extremely kind and helpful and provided all the help we needed, from information about beaches and restaurants to renting a car.
Superb hotel in a fantastic location, right next to Kanapitsa beach, with a lovely pool. The room was super clean and comfortable, the breakfast was included and very good indeed. The staff were really lovely and helpful toon.
