Eleni and Mixalis are wonderful hosts. Breakfasts were exceptional. My room was comfortable and spacious, with both a private balcony and a terrace. The bathroom was one of the best I had in Greece.

Most kind and generous hosting family of mother and daughter. Like being at home. They provided all we needed on an individual basis and were so inclusive and responsive. They were solicitous of our comfort and provided extras we needed. It was quiet and clean and the mother cooked tasty treats and meals on demand and plied us with her delicious baked goods. It is unpretentious and gives a welcoming culture of a village community where locals frequented. Yet all other foreigners were brought into the fold. We became part of their family.

perfect location and quiet. large, clean community kitchen. Short distance from Matala, but even halfway there you find nice beaches, and less noisy. Loads of local restaurants, a really good bakery, and local shops.

This place needs to get it's act together. There is rubbish everywhere. The roads are very rough. The roadsides all look like a land slide has just occurred. The whole area has great potential but some one needs to get going to improve the surroundings.

Despite the bunkering station just off shore, it's the perfect beach for families. Be aware though that it is fairly remote with not much in the way of amenities. If you want to get away from the crowds this is a great place.

This is a small place, overlooking an oil processing plant, so ships come and go. There are a couple of tavernas on the beach and one on the road. It is difficult to get to (take the main road unless you have a 4x4 car) and little to do when there, aside from the beach, which is black shingle. The water is very clear, with very few waves, so potentially good for snorkling.
