The house was well kept and nicely decorated. The host also had prepared a welcome basket with some fruit and cookies which is always an add on, especially when kids are staying too. The location was perfect to get around everywhere around Chania. We would definitely stay here again.
Loukia Hotel enjoys a privileged location at Chania’s old venetian port, overlooking the well-known Kountourioti promenade. Continental breakfast is served each morning at the breakfast room.

Breakfast is GREAT! Staff are very attentive.
Though we were upgraded to a sea view room (we are returning guests) the room was VERY small and door of bathroom didn't close properly. Upon checkout the staff member said "yes we know"...
Still we realy love this hotel.
Featuring modernly decorated rooms and a snack bar, Areti Suites is surrounded by a well-tended garden, 2 km from Kalathas Beach. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided.

The Nefeli Hotel enjoys a central location in Chania, within 250 metres from the historical Venetian harbour and just a 5-minute walk from the old town.

I did not like anything about this hotel. I felt like i was staying in a motel instead an hotel. Rooms were not comfortable at all. Cleanliness was bad. Just rough.
Bad experience
This central Chania hotel is just 200 metres from the Old Town walls and the Venetian harbour.

Excellent location on 1866 Square in the center of Chania, yet only 5 mins walk to the Old Town's excellent tavernas and Harbour. Stayed at the Arkadi many times over the past 25 years, and will return!!
Situated in Chania’s Koum Kapi area, Kumba At Koum Kapi Hotel is only 100 metres from Chania’s Old Town and Venetian Port. It has an in-house bar-restaurant on the ground floor.

The hotel is very stylish with all the stone
The location is perfect - very close to harbour. Even though there was no parking, Sifaka street is very close, so you can pull up literally like 10m from the hotel.
The staff is very helpful and professional
We had a room with a roof jacuzzi, and it was splendid

It was a very cozy atmosphere, beautiful well-kept area, close to the beach and several restaurants with delicious Mediterranean food. A very beautiful pool, but during my stay (second half of September) it was under renovation. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious and the staff was always friendly and made you feel at home.

We arrived late at 01h00.
We arrived late at 01h00. Efi and Spiros waited up for us and met us with big smiles and a friendly welcome. They had stocked the fridge so we would have food for breakfast and added a few extras for the week. They were helpful, discreet and available when we needed them through our our stay. The apartment is stunning with a huge terrace and a breathtaking view. I can heartily recommend Kalathas sunset villa!! We would love to go back!!!

road to the beach very busy, a lot of cars, lack of the pavement, the beach is really great but not many restaurants, only one shop in the area, no ATM , if you don't have a car to go to the centre of Kalathas there are not many things to choose from. There is bus going every 2 hours going to Chania and Stavros which helps, if you want just to relax the location is good but not for people who would like to party

Some lovely beaches close by ( Kalathas and Tersanas) but you will need a car as the roads are not pleasant to walk- busy with no pavements. There is a bus service but you will need to check the timetables, as they're not that frequent. Chania is an interesting place with lots of history and character. We took the longer boat trip and did some snorkelling- it was great.

Kalathas beach is beautiful.
Kalathas beach is beautiful. The sea is shallow and mostly calm. There is a canteen on the beach which offers lunch snacks and cold drinks, ice creams etc. Excellent, friendly service. Paid sun beds with umbrellas are available.
The main road down to the beach is NOT pedestrian friendly. I would strongly recommend hiring a car if you stay further up from the beach.

Perfect if you need to be close to the airport, lovely coastline and super friendly locals. Planes do go overhead, so if you don’t fancy this for a two week holiday, I suggest going up to Stavros where this wasn’t an issue the night I stayed
The location and the sunset st the pool are amazing. And the staff and owner of the hotel are absolutely incredible. Great with a big smile and a tour of the location. As well as provided all the necessary information to access the city and tours. Definitely going to come here in the future. 5-star service and great apartments with unique designs. The apartment was spacious with a modern design. Was very luck to find this gem. You can't go wrong reserving here because even the guests are amazing. It's a vibe.
We had a great time staying at this appartment. It has it's own, big parking place which came in handy for our rented car. It is located a bit from the main road so we had our piece and privacy. It is also equipped with everything you might need: washing machine, stove, coffee machine, microwave,... Kalathas beach is also really close. The host was very kind and gave us a lot of directions for other beaches and destinations. I highly recomend the appartment.
we stayed at Villa Valentina for a week in September. 8 adults and a baby. the rooms are big. downstairs there is a huge bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a TV room. The kitchen is FULLY equipped (just no microwave). House and pool were extremely clean. perfect location near the beach, Chania, lots of great restaurants close by (Irene, Bourakis and Kalathas beach restaurant). you must visit Marahti beach. You will need a car. We would love to come again!
The apartments located in a easily reachable spot - 15 minutes both from Chania and the airport. You can make it your base of operations and travel freely around the eastern part of Crete.
The price/quality level of this place is one of the best you can get on Crete and Yiannis, the owner, will make your experience perfect being ready to suggest places to see and local tips and tricks. Rooms are clean and tidy.
I particularly liked the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the property. The staff is very accommodating and super nice. The view and the pool are great and you are only minutes away of a lovely beach. It's still close to Chania but you'll definitely need a car to wonder around (and there are so many beautiful places to see in Crete)
The price is also very good, so I highly recommend!
The nearist beach is about 5 min walking from the rooms and it is not so comfortable because there is no a pedestrian way for walking. But it is not a problem because you rent a car. The pool is nice and rooms are very comfprtable with all the appliances.
I advise to everybody first rent a car. Without a car you will not understand the life of Crete and will not reach the beautifull places.
It’s very beautiful family hotel ! The pool is amazing , Rooms really nice served , good breakfast and very nice staff 😍 the beautiful beach is just down there 5 min . And they changed our room when we just asked about it . Very very very nice . Thank you !
The location was excellent, the building was the first one to the road taking you to the Kalathas beach, where we spent most of our days bathing. There is also a small path that serves as a shortcut to the beach. The owner was very nice and helpful.
Yiannis was wonderful person, nice ,helpful, real gentleman. Everything was alright except wifi and I think because ,that was so many guest was in hotel. I highly recommended this hotel for every Danish or another europian nationality.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was very large and clean. We had two outdoor tables and chairs on our own balcony, our own drying rack, a separate bedroom from the kids, two air conditioners, a kitchen with all utensils, etc.
Beautiful location close to the beach that is in walking distance. Great breakfast, great food, and a beautiful hotel terrace with an incredible view. Very nice and welcoming staff. Nice room with beautiful balcony and view!!
Very polite Ms Theodosia, always smiling and helpful :)
Hotel is clean and there’s everything what you need. There’s quite small pool but it’s enough for relax. The view from the pool area is amazing! I honestly recommend
This is an old hotel close to the sea. There are free shaded parking places. The general vibe is nice, but we could not enjoy it because our room was very dirty, except for the bed which was clean and comfy.
Villa Alexander is the best in Kalathas for us.
Clean, comfortable, everything we need was there.
The view of the sea is incredibly beautiful!
Everything was top notch! Special thanks to Sundy!
The staff were so kind and helpful, and the breakfast was lovely. The apartment was huge (compared to a hotel room) and had everything we needed. The pool was simple yet very relaxing and nice.
Overall almost everything. Hotel is by the sea and it's rock Beach is especially good for snorkeling. This video I recorded from there: https://youtu.be/Z1TC4Kisurg
