Hotel Vardzia Terrace, hotel in Vardzia

Set in Vardzia, Hotel Vardzia Terrace has a garden. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

The location across the valley from the cave complex is magnificent. The dinner of fresh trout from on site and other food and local wine could hardly be bettered. But above all the friendliness of the family who run this small hotel was the real bonus. Their information opened doors for our walks in the region so we saw more than we expected we could.

Vardzia Resort, hotel in Vardzia

Vardzia Resort has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Vardzia.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is fantastic. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the view of the caves from the balcony was wonderful. I walked to the caves (30 minutes from the hotel to the ticket booth) along the road as it was very quiet, but the hotel offered a free transfer service too. The breakfast was tasty and offered a good range of choice. The restaurant for dinner was lovely and the staff were very attentive.

It is on a working farm in a beautiful valley. Everything was basic as you expect of a farm. We love the simplicity and honesty of hard working people . The hostess went out of her way to prepare traditional dinner and breakfast. She took us on a tour to meet. Her cattle, sheep and chickens. As a farewell gift she g ave us. A bag of nuts and apples.

The Vardzia Caves should rank up there as a place to visit on everyone’s bucket list. They are simply amazing. It boggles the mind how these caves were dug out and inhabited over 1000 years ago. I thought the tunnels were superb. Made me feel like a kid again.

I had been to vardzia before around 8 years ago, its one of the most unique places in Georgia, which is just beautiful to explore, and its people are the most welcoming ive experienced in the country. To see and experience everything in the area its advisable to have a 4x4 (the main road in and out of the town is perfectly paved, but you can see more with an offroad type vehicle). Entry to vardzia cave city is cheap (15 lari) especially when it takes easily 2 hours to walk around the whole complex

If you are travelling from Tbilisi or any other city, do not book Vardzia resort only for 1 night, as the road is pretty tiresome and you cannot go out to visit all the attractions Vardzia suggests: the caves etc.

Vardzia is a beautiful place to visit, with it's ancient history and legend - interesting story to hear. I stayed in Vardzia Resort and had a wonderful dinner in their restaurant, which can be visited, if you even don't stay in this hotel. It is quite easy to get around with car, we even visited Rabati Castle in Akhaltsikhe, which i also highly recommend. I would prefer to visit Vardzia for 4-5 days next time, 2 days are not enough if you wish to rest in beautiful place, such as this wonderful city.

We had a wonderful stay in Vardzia.

We had a wonderful stay in Vardzia. The location is spectacular and I would like to visit again. But the hotel was disappointing, as all the expectations were spoiled. There is lack of privacy, being able to hear through the walls and ceiling and balcony was bad.
