Our room was renovated and clean although a few things such as hangers that had come off could have been put back on. The ski room could also be bigger and include a drying room. The hotel tap water is drinkable and of very good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the hotel served pretty good food but the waiting time was long. The hotel is very suitable for skiers. The ski lift is right next to the hotel. But if you want to have a party in the town centre you have to pay for a taxi ride to the centre and back It costs about 26 Lari. But close to the hotel, about 400-500 m, there is a very good restaurant Ati Ambavi with great food and flavours and live music.

Fantastic long, wide runs and, mostly, quality modern lifts. There was lots of snow for late season skiing and plenty of off-piste opportunities. Food and drinks are are reasonably priced and good quality. Local people seem friendly and there is an interesting mix of nationalities on the slopes.

This was our second year of skiing in Gudauri. It is one of the best ski resorts in the Caucasus. Since there are ski lifts on different levels and sides of the mountain it is possible to enjoy skiing in various weather conditions.

NEW Gudauri is the place to be for ski and snowboard adventure. You cannot get any closer then this. Rate of pass and rent versus what you get is more than okay. The pistes are very nice and talented or not talented; you will find your match. There is also possibility to parachute gliding or snowscooter rental. Many bars and restaurants with affordable pricing.

It is a great place for ski/snowboard lovers!
It is a great place for ski/snowboard lovers! the slopes are great, all very well connected to each other with different ski lifts. The slopes are south looking mostly and you have the sun all the time. There are wonderful places to eat and enjoy the lounge situations in the snow on the amazing 2500m altitude slopes.
Slopes reach about 3000 meters, so snow is good.
The hotel gives good value for the money!
The rooms are simple. Our double bed wasn't very comfortable (its base was 2 connected single beds)..
The food in the hotel is very good! We really liked eating there in the evenings.. they serve tasty, authentic Georgian food.

The location is quite good if your plan is only to ski and stay in the hotel. It is located nearby one of the ski trails but far from the center. There are some nicer restaurants within a 5-10 min walking distance..
I love how accommodating Tamer and Amer were. My mom and I were sooooo touched at how Amer made sure we get to Marco Polo hotel for dinner was despite the language barrier! He even waited for us outside the dinner place to make sure we get back to the hostel because it was snowing and really dark and it was late evening and we just arrived and too exhausted from the trip. Thank you so much!
The room was also very clean, very new and many facilities to have fun as a group.

One of the best and most strategic hotels in gudauri, it's located exactly in the middle of the skating hill 5 meters from the second teleferik station, After staying at a couple of hotels in Georgia the crew at this place are the most professional and friendly individuals we met so far in that country. - Staffs are hospitable. Especially George in the reception and their boss, George. They welcomed us with wine and even offered us a ride going to bus on the way back to Tbilisi.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gudauri House of the Sun. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They offered delicious breakfast and dinner. The hotel has arranged a free taxi to take guests to the ski lifts and back, since the hotel is outside of Gudauri. There's some board games in the common area that we really liked. Overall the place was cosy and worth the price.
The location is very close to the center of the ski resort. The apartment has shorter access to the ski areas. During the season, the surrounding is packed with tourist and made the trip more lively even though is a bit quiet at night even at New Year eve. The room is clean, just nice for a small family, one of the economical price for the same category.
The service is great, the staff is very helpful and will make sure your stay is comfortable ! They have free pick up and drop to the ski location which is very convenient. The restaurant in the hotel is one of the best food you will eat in Gudauri. Would recommend to book the terrace room as the view from the hotel is amazing
The hotel was good. After reading the reviews we were frightened to stay there, but in reality it was ok. Definitely overpriced, but I am afraid this is one of the best option in Gudauri. Breakfast was good, there are a lot of options for different type of diet. Staff did their best and helped with all our questions.
The room was chilly and the staff are really nice. There were very fun activities like the sledge, the jet ski, there is also a little jet ski for your kids. They talk kind of fluent English, the restaurants here with their staff are really kin. The best part about this hotel is the view of the mountains.

One of the best things about this hotel is the location. It is located ON the slope, close to the bottom cable where you can start your day and buy your passes. You can truly ski in and out of the hotel.
