The rooms are located behind the main building and therefore shielded from any road noise and with an uninterrupted view across the estuary.
The dinner and breakfast were superb.
Service was personal and good.
On top of Kirkley Cliff, overlooking Lowestoft’s beach, Hotel Victoria is less than a mile south of the town centre.

Wrentham is a very small village, but right on the A12, though we were not affected by the noise in our cottage. It has a couple of pubs and is easily accessible to Southwold. It looked like there may be some nice walks, but we didn't have time to do them.

Wrentham is ideally situated to explore Southwold from. We stayed two nights giving us one full day in Southwold. Wrentham is a pleasant little village, however, apart from a couple of pubs there is not a lot else there, although we did enjoy a stroll each evening around the village.
We stayed at the Five Bells, where we were very comfortable. The pub served great food and local ales on tap.

Beautiful area and close to A12 for access but none of the the noise, 5 mins from Southwold: fabulous. They have a big wood burning stove inside the bar for when it's cold. Big spacious room was nicely warm enough very quickly. Hot water HOT and shower nice and powerful. FOH Staff really nice and accomodating. Room clean and comfy, plenty of big towels etc., and only a step of two away from front door of pub. We enjoyed our stay in the main and would be pleased to return but we would eat elsewhere for dinner but, and as I've said, the breakfast was very good.
