The Worksop area is great for easy access to lots of nature parks and attractions, such as Sherwood Pines, Sherwood Forest, Thoresby Hall and Clumber Park. I would not recommend the Muthu Clumber Park Hotel though, as the rooms are dirty and dated and not at all as advertised.

Very small town. Small market.

Best places to visit - The house is an ideal place to stay to tour the Dukeries.
Welbeck Abby house is not open but visits to the shopping area and the museum are all free. 2 fantastic exhibitions on at the moment. 20 mins. from Whitwell
Chatsworth House is not too far away. I recommend the farm shop café.
Hardwick Hall was built in 1593. Last tenant died 1960's. Nearly every wall has a tapestry on it.

Loved the hotel and its surrounding gardens and the adjacent canal with its locks will be a great distraction in the summer when the canal boats are passing through.
Still very new in appearance and has everything that you would expect and at a very reasonable price.
Will make a good base for a touring holiday as it has local attractions and plenty nearby as well.
We will most definitely stay here again when we are in the area and have no hesitation in recommending it.

as my daughter was getting married in the area and needed to get ready there ,it's was fantastic ,just one thing ,the garden areas need attention and some points for decorating ,but people should not be put off ,it's a lovely place in a wonderful setting with spa facilities
Been before and issues with spa pool. Managed to. Use pool for about an hour and lovely and warm . But then told off limits due to maintainance work . Big shame.
Staff Julie and Helen on days fantastic. Piper and her team at night really looked after us. reception staff all lovely.Staff are certainly your best asset but lots of staff leaving sadly. Management need to realise the staff made our experience and need better support and appreciation.
Rob and Amy are great hosts. I was super late in the evening reaching Worksop, and Rob not only took my call but also picked us up from the station. Amy also cooked a nice meal for us both, despite the kitchen being officially closed that evening. I couldn't have asked for more.
Rooms are nice, it's a very cosy comfy place. Next time in Worksop, I know I am going there again.
Exceptionally clean. The house was lovely and modern. 2 parking spaces available. Great use of equipment in the kitchen to make your own food. Communication with the host was excellent. She was very kind and nice. I would highly recommend this to someone. If I ever return to Worksop, I hope to use this place again. Thank you!
2nd stop at this hotel. Very useful as a midpoint when heading to Dover from Scotland. Easy to locate, no hassle book in & check out was just a leave your key in the box. Does normal pub food & a range of beers, several takeaways within walking distance in the town centre ~ 500 yards away
Great size room, with massive bed.
Modern decoration
Large bathroom.
Good choice in the tea and coffee facilities.
Breakfast was lovely and hot when arrived.
No air con, but there was a fan provided, which we really appreciated.
Bar and lounge area very clean and modern.
Beautiful farmhouse on the edge of clumber park, perfect location for exploring the woodland. Really enjoyed the breakfast selection plus homemade bread and jams! Very comfortable bed & lounge area, clean & beautifully maintained. Host was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is the best of both worlds. Has shops and eateries near by as well as a lovely canal walk. The rooms were spacious and clean and bathroom great having a bath. We ate at the pub which was nice, went for a walk, had a drink in the garden area.
All most everything was excellent - location, surroundings, car parking, hotel, bedroom, restaurant and the restaurant disabled toilet was excellent as the spacing and layout had been thoughtfully arranged. (Unlike a lot of places I have visited!)
Friendly staff, clean room, nice outdoor area, good pub food (burger was homemade and exceptional).
They don't serve breakfast. I went to the cafe inside Worksop library and the food and coffee were really good 👍, definitely recommended. In
Really cosy & clean place to stay. Contactless check in & check out was straightforward & simple. Convenient & spacious parking at the back. Will book again when I return to Worksop for work.
great stay. I stay away for work in hotels all year round. not very often you come across a hotel as good as this. Staff, room and food faultless. 10/10
