The property had an awful smell of drains. The breakfast had only one member of staff on her own to deal with everyone. Their was no toast available for breakfast. I was asked to pay an additional £20 upon arrival which I questioned. The place is in need of a good refurb.

The staff were very busy but they tried to be helpful and attentive. The rooms were beautiful and very well equipped they had provided everything one might need. The food was excellent. The village of Ditchling is very pretty.

An excellent hotel; beautiful surroundings a film crew would love! There is a restaurant on-site (and they do offer breakfast by the way!!). I visited alone for a summer school but, if you're looking for a place for a quiet weekend away, just the two of you, this might be worth a look. :-)
