Quirky small hotel with boutique feel. Nice bar and breakfast areas, lots of art and pictures everywhere. Clean and warm, nice breakfast, very friendly and welcoming staff. Value for money. Very modern bathroom. Nice view out to the sea and coast from window in our room. It is an old building so have to expect some original features such as high ceilings and uneven floors but that adds to the quirky atmosphere. We paid for parking and glad we did as made it really convenient as street parking more challenging depending on time of day. Would stay again.

What a lovely find. The Globe was both picturesque and welcoming.
Discovered this gem while looking for a pit-stop on our travels.
We were initially drawn to the traditional pub style of the restaurant, but wow! You couldn't ask for a friendlier team.
Fantastic food, excellent service and selection of drinks at the bar. Beautifully quaint building a short walk from the harbour.
Our room on the balcony was clean and incredibly comfortable - even equipped with a nespresso machine of our own! Facilities are kept well.
We both had dinner and breakfast with The Globe, very satisfactory and excellent choices for a range of dietary requirements. Alcohol free options available, and a dog-friendly environment to boot.
Great value for a much recommended visit.
Will absolutely be keeping this name in mind for future trips.

Because we arrived on Sunday and left on Monday, it was all self check in and no breakfast, which was a bit disappointing. We would have stayed at the Globe if we were made aware at the time of booking. The rooms and place itself was lovely.
Poor restaurant service
e.g. Not well catered for vegans with inaccurate VG menu markings i.e. Thai curry had fish sauce in it and was marked as VG which is misleading. Should use different markings for vegetarian and vegans not the same VG marking!
e.g. Ran out of ingredients and was promised a discount on the dinner bill plus free drinks but neither was given.
e.g. Breakfast was cheap porridge very badly cooked and limited choice i.e. no fruit or juice was offered with the porridge
e.g. Very dirty restaurant carpet with horrible marks all over it. Time for a new carpet?
Poor spa availability
e.g. Very limited availability and not enough time using the spa facilities which was upsetting consider I paid for a £200 spa break.

With the covid restrictions we had 30 min to use the sauna.
With the covid restrictions we had 30 min to use the sauna. Most of the elderly ladies who just finished a exercise class in the swimming pool finished came and joined the spa facilities. Evethough we had another 15 minutes from our session we had to leave as the steam room and jacuzzi were overcrowded.

the hotel is nice enough the staff are friendly and the facilities are good. In a nice location and food and drink was reasonably priced. We booked a lodge for 5 but in arriving found it not as described it was smelly had mould and cobwebs everywhere moved straight to the hotel which you would think was run by a different organisation. 2 of our party booked elsewhere. Only for the state of the lodge it would have been a good break

We liked our room and enjoyed the spa, we didn’t eat in the restaurant so I can not comment, if there was one thing that could have been better, may be a chill out area with relaxing chairs near to the pool to get juices : coffee : tea etc, but apart from that every thing is very nice.

The staff were helpful and the facilities were good.
The staff were helpful and the facilities were good. But the car park was poorly lit and the lodges walk ways could have done with a bit more light as you arrive. The area was stunning and the pool fantastic. Food was good so all in all was good and I would definitely return.
Breakfast was very good with a nice variety and the staff in the restaurant were very accomodating.
The hotel was perfectly situated, not too far from the beach, close to hiking trails and other tourist attractions.
Access to the pool and health club facilities was nice, we went for a swim after a very busy day.
Nice shower, with a decent stream of hot water.
Did not play golf on this occasion but admire the golf club.
Really enjoyed our stay. The property was well appointed, with lots of thoughtful little touches, and immaculately clean. Nice pub at the end of the road. Really quiet little village, and handy for visiting Exeter and the surrounding countryside. Thoroughly recommend.
The holiday home was a pleasant surprise and spacious for a holiday home. Staff were lovely and the food had great menu options and all dishes we chose were delicious. It was also great having access to the sister park which was very well setup for the kids too.
I stayed on a golf weekend , the hotel and clubhouse is fairly tired and soon in need of a refurbishment but it’s still a great place to stay . All the staff were amazing
Breakfast sausages were terrible but rest fairly good
