Winterton on Sea itself is a pretty little village a delight to walk around. The dunes and the beach are amazing, we had a particular glorious blue sky sunny day, chilly but lovely for walking. First class pub nearby "Fishermans's Return" with extensive menu and cosy log fire. It looks small outside but is huge inside. There is also a lovely tea room nearby, fish & Chip shop, and the all important grocery shop. Would love to go back in the summer months as the March weather although fine was a touch chilly. However the cottage had a lovely log fire as well as heating so super cosy in the cold evenings.

A very quiet village that got busy with visitors for seal watching over the new year. The Fishermans Return in the village was super friendly (dog friendly) and the food lovely. Sat out in January ! Local shop was well stocked. Walked along the dunes to see the seal and pups (hundreds of them all over the place) and walked in the opposite direction along the beach. Huge sandy beach. Never crowded and fantastic walking.
