Burton Hotel, hotel in Winforton

Set within a modernised coaching inn, the family-run Burton Hotel is a residence situated on the Offa’s Dyke footpath in the small market town of Kington, which lies on the Welsh border.

Nice staff great location only downside was my room. They are old rooms and whilst the bathroom was a good size the water pressure in the shower was very bad and barely useable. At £115 a night that’s not good enough.

The village and countryside of Hay on Wye are stunning and interesting. The bookshops and the charming streets of the village need to be explored at leisure. There are many attractive getaways for families including farm visits--our three year old granddaughter had an enriching and fun time at Small Breeds Farm nearby. All we could have asked for was good weather. Ah well.

A great property in a beautiful area. The accommodation was spacious and stylish. The proximity to Hay on Wye made it easy to go for the day and evening. The courtyard was a private green space and very safe for parking.
