We felt cold ,light the lovely fire to welcome your guests after a long journey. It was too far out if you needed a restaurant at night . Didn’t like having to drive in awful weather looking for food late at night after a long drive to get there . Not good if you are the only guests . Such a pity . It could have been fantastic, but it was spoiled . Felt like we were creeping around as it was deathly quiet and we were the only ones in the building.

We loved the quality of everything from Service, Hospitality; Food and Drinks. Advice on local attractions, places to eat, walks etc was first class. We were disappointed to find that dinner was not served every evening of our stay. However ~ we had the opportunity to try Local Hostelries which were good.

    The area is beautiful.

The area is beautiful. Irish Sea to your left and mountains and waterfalls to your right. Perfect for walks and drive - definitely need a car unless you’re extremely fit, unlike me... you can also find Indian, Chinese, Italian and fish and chips near by - bargain!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wayside.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Wayside. Our host, Emiko, was very polite and welcoming as well as extremely helpful with suggestions about local eateries and routes for walking. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with high quality furnishings and bedding (plus a huge smart TV with access to a myriad of channels). Breakfast was great also with a variety of cereals, fresh fruits, croissants, traditional English cooking, toast and conserves, tea, fresh coffee etc. But most of all the one thing that stood out above all the above positives was how friendly and welcoming Emiko was to both ourselves and Bilkoe our springer spaniel.
