The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble.

The service was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were fantastic. Happy for this to be a dog friendly establishment but if you was not happy around dogs I felt there should be a separate dining area for guests and their dogs. Fresh milk in flasks, in a fridge was a lovely touch

Picked location for Clarks shopping village approx 6.5 miles. Superb property the pub is old world with two log fires going and comfy Chesterfield couches to lounge on. Restaurant good but would prefer more basic pub food on the menu and a few classic desserts. The cheese board was superb. One of the best full English breakfasts we have had. Stayed in the annex rooms clean and comfy, walls are very thin so noise travels from other rooms. Excellent for a one night stop over would return.

Great pub, great food and lovely staff. 10/10 on that side.

Great pub, great food and lovely staff. 10/10 on that side. Unfortunately our room had an adjoining door to another guest room which meant we didn’t really have the quite, private experience we had in mind when we booked. I’m sure not every room has this type of set up but it certainly put a damper on our experience. Staff were unable to switch rooms for us due to availability but gave us a discount on our meal which we didn’t demand so that was a nice surprise. Great pub, really not want to sound negative but just a shame about that particular room. Get it sorted and we’d be happy to come back…

Terrible location on a busy truck route.

Terrible location on a busy truck route. We could hear traffic during the night and had to keep all windows closed due to noise. Never advised that the restaurant was closed while we were there in spite of our request for a 7.30 reservation at time of booking.
