Ooh, loved it here as it is so well appointed and maintained, yet in a low key way. Communication with the owner was good, and instructions were clear and easy to understand. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into making people's stay as comfortable as can be. Really enjoyed our stay here and it was quiet too.

We were travelling in Wales & not booking far in advance. Angelsey on a Bank Holiday Weekend did not have numerous options within our budget. We had a great stay for two nights. The rooms are located above the Pub in a very old building and are very basic. Ours was room 1 directly above the Pub and we were warned it could be a little noisy. ( it was a little ) The room was small with twin beds( comfortable ) as well as a bunk bed, the bathroom large! The owner was accommodating, the pub great for conversations with the local residents ( we got lots advice about the area) breakfast was good and we had dinner both nights as well.
Just 4 minutes' drive from Holyhead’s ferry port and with fabulous views overlooking the marina, the Boathouse Hotel offers en suite accommodations, fresh food, a bar and free parking.

my husband and i enjoyed our stay at applebys guest house--our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated in soft soothing colors with a seaside theme which was so appropriate for this location--our host carole was very kind and extremely helpful to us plus she prepared delicious breakfasts each day--we are so fortunate to have happened upon the listing for applebys guest house on booking.com--as i said to carole when we were leaving "i wish we had planned to stay longer"

The hotel is not in a great area, its okay for a base if your out traveling, there is nothing around there that was worth looking at,, the concrete parking lot is very unwelcoming.. the heating in room 1 does not work, hotel wasn't bothered if it worked or not..breakfast okay...no vegan alternatives. The food in restaurant was okay..this hotel is just okay..it does lack a welcoming atmosphere...good thing dogs are welcome

The hotel is in a really good location it just needs a little TLC , the room wasn’t too bad the bed & pillows both had mattress Protectors on which was good, and two bedside tables but There wasn’t any bedside lamps which was annoying as I like to read when I’m in bed , no plug sockets near the bed either, the sockets seemed to be all in one place, the pillows were far too soft and definitely need replacing, I was pleased that the room had a bath but the plug was very rusty and needed replacing and all around the bath wasn’t very clean, also no hooks on the bathroom door to hang the towels up .
On the plus side the hospitality tray was very good and the lady on reception was very helpful as she always brought more for us when i asked .

Everything i experienced at the Valley was positive which is very, very, unusual for anywhere I stay. The room was superb, the bar area, where food was available too, was great. Due to covid there was only table service available but the girls were always available to supply me with a drink as and when I needed one. I sat in the "comfy" chair by the log burner and they even found time to keep that topped up and alight. If I was local to the area and not just a visitor, I'd gladly use the Valley regularly. I walked from the Valley to Holyhead, onto the South Stack lighthouse, and then back through Trearddur beach to the Valley. Roughly, 15 miles. In fairness I'd recommend going the other way around as the scenery, beaches and coves, cafes etc are better and more plentiful. Then if you're not a massive fan of towns like Holyhead, jump on a bus to get back once you get there. Oh, and if you're fascinated by fighter jets, simply look up when you get anywhere near Trearddur beach (which itself is a wonderful place to watch the sun go down) The RAF have a base near and while i was there, they were out practicing through the day.

I couldn't fault the staff but they could do with taking a customer service course. They where lacking of customer service skills. From the woman on front desk to the bar and breakfast staff just hadn't the level of customer service skills you could expect from a hotel. Except for the radiator not being able to turn off or turn down, the room was comfortable. The food was very nice that I got on the second night.

I have been travelling to Trearddur bay for 35yrs and have often seen and driven past the Valley Hotel. I have now visited the hotel where my mother stayed many years ago Ironically in the same room and on the same bed. I suppose that when my children visit this Hotel 35yrs from now they may decide to turn the matress over to give it that lovely concrete feeling -i must admit it keeps you alert i didn't sleep a wink and enjoyed every bit of the sunrise at 5.00am . i think this place should be on antiques roadshow!.

A casual, friendly hotel, good food and excellent service, staff are very friendly and helpful. good value for money. Some of the rooms are very small and they are all different so if you haven't stayed there before, its a bit of a lottery how big your room is going to be.
One thing which is very personal but just took the shine off my stay was that the hotel is dog friendly (like loads of hotels these days) but they also allowed dogs in the dining room and breakfast room which I disagree with when I am eating.
We chose the hotel for its location near to the ferry port of Holyhead.
After a long journey from the west of Ireland we needed an overnight stay. We also wanted to try Catch 22 - a well reviewed restaurant in Valley.
We had a fabulous meal at Catch 22, a very comfortable night's sleep and an excellent breakfast at the Valley Hotel. We will certainly hope to repeat the experience on our next trip to Ireland.
The hotel is very comfortable and the restaurant offers excellent food, beautifully presented at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and welcoming, particularly the cleaning staff who did an excellent job. Breakfast offered a good choice and again well cooked and presented. There is a large, free car park. Dogs are welcome for a small additional charge. There is a lovely garden area with plenty of space.
Convenient location near to the Expressway;
Excellent car-park and reliable Wi-fi connection;
Rooms are well appointed and comfortable,
with an attractive modern style and decor;
First class bathroom, with shower and bath,
all in graphite and white, with good towels;
This hotel was reasonably priced and the
staff were friendly and helpful, so all-in-all
an enjoyable few days with all I required.
A good quality breakfast provided by helpful and cheerful staff. Standard of decor in bar and restaurant areas was good, clean and welcoming. If the accommodation rooms were of the same standard the hotel would get a hugely better rating. Additional pillows/tea/coffee requested were provided by the obliging and helpful staff - not their fault that premises need updating.
A very last minute booking, trying to find a hotel that was dog friendly. Checked in 1 hour after booking. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful. Did not realise that breakfast was included for the price we paid so was very pleasantly surprised. Dog understandably not allowed in restaurant, but staff reserved us a table in the bar for dinner.
Nice clean presentable place with good covid awareness and measures in place. Very spacious room with lovely bathroom. Beer garden very nice and well presented. Restaurant well staffed with younger adults and all quite pleasant.
Beverages were reasonably priced also. Good layout, especially given covid measures.
Nice walks/views 10 minutes away.
I asked for a quiet room, ideally with a bath. I was sent an email from the hotel to say they had reserved a quiet room with a bath for us. We arrived. The room was far from quiet and had a rather dingy shower only. Im annoyed because I hadnt expected requests to be met, until I received their email which effectively promised them.
I received a telephone call whilst en-route to check all was ok and they advised the restaurant didn't take orders after 9 pm. The hotel was clean and comfortable with pleasant engaging staff. Breakfast was very efficiently organised, filling out a preference chart the night before and the food was exceptional.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff.
Breakfast was nice once we figured out how it worked as we weren't told.
Comfy room with added bonus of biscuits in room (always a winner with me!).
Good location for what we wanted to do with plenty of parking.
The location, proximity to the A55. Valley is a friendly place, Sergios, a local fish and chip shop, excellent food, allowed us to byo wine. It saved our evening. The hotel had a wedding on, restaurants were either shut down or booked up.
this is a very basic, older, hotel. the single room was quite small but there was an attached bathroom. the staff seemed nice but they were busy with the bar area so I had very little interaction with them. great location!
Location is fantastic. Great selection of places to eat nearby and close to the supermarkets on Holyhead. Local shops available just around the corner. Loved waking to the sound of the Hawks from RAF Valley too!
The hotel was great and also the restaurant was great too.
Spacious rooms , clean and ,free parking and WiFi too.
Restaurant had good food outside garden and a selection of drinks .
Easy to book .
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was super. Family room worked well as boys had own bed rather than having to share a double bed like in other family rooms in other hotels
Room is a warm, clean, comfortable single, with great en-suite, The Valley Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble, and a lovely breakfast too! I recommend The Valley 100%
