Host was very helpful and friendly, made me a pot of tea on arrival, which he didnt have to do.
Bed was lovely and comfortable.

Lots of tea and coffee left for me to use, even though I was only there for a night.

Owners of the property were lovely. Really nice cute and cosy stay in such a quiet little village. Little welcome hamper on arrival was very much appreciated. Super comfy bed and all the facilities you would need!
Would definately be back!
We loved the scenery, and the walks. The Community Shop is always worth a visit. The village-centre has had a welcome face-lift since we last visited.
The Harbour Inn serves good food, and plenty of it, but the staff need to know more about what they are doing; they don't appear knowledgeable or well-trained. Greater attention to detail would be good. Serving stone-cold custard with a hot pudding doesn't work! On October 19 (Saturday), only three desserts, all cake, were on offer, and there weren't any 75 cl bottles of wine available.

A lovely part of the Island.
A lovely part of the Island. One of the nicest beaches with lots of amenities. The town has pubs, shops and a chippy. The beach has plenty of parking with a secondary parking area and the other end of the beach. There is a cafe and toilet in the main parking area. There is also a lovely arts and craft shop that also has a pre loved section.
Most areas of the Island are less than 30 minutes away.

On arrival it looked shabby and run down.
On arrival it looked shabby and run down. When we entered the building it was just as bad, lots of maintenance attention required desperately. The place was friendly enough but not very clean. The room was poor and in need of update. Only two plug sockets in the room and not hear the bed. The furniture was mis-matched and in a sorry state. The bathroom was OK but the floor was dirty and the sink light didn't work.
Our evening meal was lovely but same couldn't be said about breakfast. That was all cold, so didn't eat that and the order was wrong! The juice was served in a dirty glass and the tables hadn't been cleaned down from previous guest. We only had one night there but downstairs was noisy and someone decided to play knock a door run which was annoying when you're trying to sleep before a long journey the next day. All in all, I don't think we will be staying there again. It needs desperate investment.
