The grounds the good food and the amount of different sitting areas. We could follow the sun around the whole evening. Even a dog agility field! dogs are catered for too.

Breakfast was good, exactly what I had asked for and better than the evening meal the previous night. Room was clean and comfortable though quite compact

Beautiful country estate that's been well maintained and has a rich history. A walk around the grounds is well worth the time and a short trip into town is a must. Lots of history and architecture to take in. Friendly locals. Lovely traditional pubs with open fires and great food.

This place is just beautiful - set in the most gorgeous grounds, decorated and furnished beautifully, a great hot tub and outside space - it was perfect for a get-together with friends. The hosts were available as soon as we had an issue with the lights - got back to me within minutes of texting, and the problem was sorted quickly. Would love to stay here again one day, for longer this time!
Seemed short on staff. Restaurant service was extremely slow. Waited 90 minutes for food. Pool was cold. We were warned that jacuzzi was not functioning heat-wise but the pool was too cold to relax in.
Great location and setting. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Great little town, with everything you could need and wonderful ancient castle ruins. Brilliant location, between the beautiful Wye valley to the East and Brecon Beacons to the West and, although it is a town very much centred in the countryside, it is quickly accessible from motorways. I'll be going back for a longer stay, I hope!

We didn't get too much chance to explore the town but what we saw made us want to return. Very picturesque and we were lucky enough to enjoy good weather. Lots of places to eat and drink and some interesting independent shops to discover.

Usk is a beautiful setting but although an affluent area,...
Usk is a beautiful setting but although an affluent area, there is very little choice with dining out, either as pubs offering meals were closed or the eari g establishments that were open were exceptionally poor. We visited a couple, unfortunately and the food was possibly the worst we had ever experienced. I feel if a good takeaway or restaurant opened in Usk it would make a killing!
Usk is relatively quiet, so overlooking the High Street wasn’t an issue. The standard throughout was superb, with fixtures/fittings/furniture all of a high quality. There was even a personalised ‘Welcome’ on the breakfast table; every little thing has been carefully thought through. We can’t rate the ARW highly enough, and will certainly be booking in when we’re on the area again.
Great surroundings quiet location set in beautiful countryside excellent bar area and the staff were above friendly towards us lovely staff great traditional clothing as it’s a 18th century inn, seating area was so comfy we just didn’t want to go anywhere, access to local area is good and the town of usk is nice and friendly people will defiantly we will be coming back
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was warm, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good. It's a very old building and quirky. It's position on the main street meant it was convenient for walking the Usk valley path which is why I chose it. Great for an overnight stop and value for money.
The room was in the old part of the hotel, and was large, full of character and comfortable, with really nice views too. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and always happy to help. The grounds, while not expansive, were pleasant to wander round and the hotel is set back from the road so the location is peaceful.
The room was lovely with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We seemed to have control of our heating which is not always the case in hotels - so we appreciated that. The staff were very friendly and the inn is in an excellent location. All in all a very lovely base to explore Usk and the surrounding area.
The hotel is out of town but has restaurant and everything you need to be comfortable. We had four rooms for our group. One room had an odder from the bathroom. The rooms were comfortable and had nice view of beautiful gardens and landscape.
Very comfortable room in a rural location under 10 minutes by car from Usk or a 20 minute brisk walk. I recommend the vegan breakfast - the scrambled tofu was delicious! I used the vensue as a base for hiking and biking in the Usk valley.
Lovely clean quiet room, with efficient friendly staff. The whole hotel had an air of being very well looked after with a garden to sit out and a semi rural location just outside Usk. I felt very comfortable as a guest travelling alone.
The Hotel has been acquired by new owners and is going through a transition. The staff exceeded expectations from Check in, through the restaurant to check out. I have no doubt it will be a first class facility when completed.
Location perfect for setting out to explore the Usk valley on foot. Staff were excellent and the room and the whole establishment exceptionally clean and tidy. Quiet whilst we were there, but that suited us fine.
For my first time in Wales, The Greyhound presents a lovely country setting that is obviously loved by their owners and staff. The grounds are quintessentially Welsh amidst the rolling countryside.
The hotel has put up amazing Christmas lights in the trees in the grounds, along the boundary wall and round the building giving it a magical appearance. The decorations inside are good too
Nothing I’m sorry to say. Very disappointed. It was a birthday surprise night away for my partner and I felt so embarrassed that I had brought him to such a dirty rundown hotel.
