As we were staying to attend a wedding at Clearwell castle, we didn’t get to use the facilities of the hotel this time but were impressed with what we saw. The room was fine , plenty of comfy bedding towels etc and nice bathroom

The pool was good. Reception was interesting and not very clear about checking in so I ended up logging my bags around most of the site only to return to the same place to check in!

A beautiful little town with plenty to explore!
A beautiful little town with plenty to explore! Tintern Abby was the main attraction I wanted to see. It was brilliant and I would have liked to see a bit more than I did. Definitely will book another trip sometime and give myself at least two days to explore the area and its history properly.

It was beautifully furnished and Anika made us very welcome.
It had quality bed linen towels and toiletries.
We had fresh milk in our room every day.
The light breakfast was substantial with home made bread and jams.
The location to see the area was very good.

Lovely location in Wye valley.
Lovely location in Wye valley. Tintern Abbey well worth a visit (just a pity most of the church isn't accessible at the moment due to conservation work). Pleasant, though steep walk to Devil's Pulpit and Offa's Dyke. Lovely short walk to Old Tintern Railway Station and this is definitely worth a visit.

Tintern is a small village alongside the river Wye just in Wales, the Abbey is very interesting and there are a number of tea shops and craft centres, the old railway station is a must, also good for walking
The location was incredible! The photos do not do it justice. 2 minute drive to Tintern Abbey and a lovely pub with a park and field for the kids to play in.
All instructions were left for appliances and general things including what to do in the local area.
Use of towels, bedding, cleaning products and even cutlery & crockery were perfect and made everything so much easier. It was definitely a home from home and we will be back again.
We booked this room by pure chance since we were staying nearby but our hotel didn't have availability for the Saturday. The village of Tintern is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The b&b was very quirky, and the rooms were decorated with so much attention to detail. The owner was a very nice lady who was super welcoming. She recommended a restaurant the wild hare where we had a fantastic meal.
We stayed in a room with a super size bed which was very comfortable and the shower was perfect with lots of hot water. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious, as was the breakfast. There was a coffee shop in the hotel which was very welcome after a long journey. Tintern is a lovely little village with the attraction of the famous Abbey. It was our half way stop for our holiday in Pembrokeshire.
The beautifully renovated twin (double+single) room was exactly what we needed at the end of a long day's walking the Offa's Dyke Path, which passes about a mile from the hotel. The dinner was excellent too, and the service was fantastic - despite it being a busy Saturday evening, the staff were always attentive and really friendly. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding as well.
Shepherds Delight is an amazing, well designed shepherds hut in beautiful surroundings with everything needed to make your stay perfect. The location is great for breathtaking walks and not too far to walk for Tintern Abbey. A gorgeous log burner is perfect for those chilly evenings with plenty of wood, or there's an outdoor firepit for those long summer evenings.
Beautiful view over the river. Good facilities, everything you could want in an apartment. Comfy and cosy. Great pub very near just along the road to the left, plus a little village shop. Plenty of walks to enjoy and a couple of choices of where to eat at the end of each day. Easy to find and park thanks to clear directions from hosts. Would definitely recommend.
Fab little hotel! Very nice breakfast, private off road parking, absolutely gorgeous cosy room with creaky floors and antique furniture, lovely soft comfortable bed. friendly efficient staff who took just seconds to check us in and out. Tintern is a beautiful village in a spectacular forested valley.
This was a return visit to the Hotel. Barry & Sue are seasoned pro's, their daughter and the other staff are equally great, and it's so nice to stay in a lovely family run 'non-chain' establishment! Plenty of parking, lovely food! And friendly staff.. expect to return again one day for more walks!
Lovely hotel , very comfortable room with a doggie bed for Freddie and a little gift box for him , a lovely touch .
Freddie’s scrambled egg was delivered to our room at night , his usual supper to accompany his chicken .
You really are a dog friendly hotel . Well done
Great location with plenty of parking. Bar on site with a nice selection of beers, whiskeys, Gins and more. Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice comfortable rooms and amazing breakfast included. Also great food served at the pub. Plenty to see and do in Tintern too.
Situated near the river and about 15 minutes walk from Tintern Abbey. We had nice comfy rooms. The food was excellent, both breakfast and evening dinner. Most food seemed to be cooked on the premises, locally sourced and was delicious.
Hosts were so friendly and accommodating!
Location is fantastic , you can walk to the Abby , lots of pubs on the way. The hotel was clean and spacious, with an incredible river view. Definitely recommend, Definitely would return.
Lovely home, with nice touches such as fresh flowers cut from the garden, plenty of fluffy towels and toiletries. Lovely view from terrace and super gracious host who offered great advice for local walks and pubs.
brilliant location and lovely setting. A really nice pub with lovely hotel rooms. the rooms were clean and very comfortable. the pub itself was perfect with a great atmosphere, excellent food and fab service.
Excellent stay in the beautiful village of Tintern. The hotel was well situated and had comfortable and unique rooms in what was a former farmhouse. The staff were excellent and the restaurant was superb.
Well presented, clean and tidy, comfortable with everything you need for a break. Great location for visiting Tintern, the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Plenty of places close by for food and drinks.
Excellent food - evening meal and breakfast
Room cosy, well appointed and very clean
Polite and attentive staff
Great pub/bar area - felt very welcoming
