Ruby Cottage is a very quaint little cottage with plenty of space, in a normal looking street. It’s a hidden gem.
The annex has a beautiful courtyard that the French doors open on too. The front gate takes you on to the high street with a shop about a two minute walk away. There was a fridge in the bottom of the wardrobe with milk in it, endless choice of hot drink sachet’s. Fruit juice, even a small bottle of wine. There were even disposable toothbrush’s, should we have needed them.
Tina and Richard cooked us a lovely breakfast the morning after our stay and it was restaurant quality.

Full English breakfast very good as were all the other meals we had in the resturant
We were joined for those meals by up to 7 family members all equally impressed by the food , our accomodation facilities and peaceful outlook. Even horses in the field to look at!
All the staff were exceptionally helpful and genuinely friendly.
The general layout of the accommodation unit, near the car park and also way into the resturant suited us as my husband is disabled using crutches
All essentials provided
No hesitation in coming back

We liked the cleanness and comfort of the house. Spacious and enjoyed the feel of being at home. Better than sitting in a hotel room! We were very happy to stay the night. It was a good choice!

Found people in the pubs very friendly and would recommend small local toy shop jolly’s toys & games. extra friendly and knowledgeable about the area,
Would not recommend The Den at the Auburn Fox as hoovered whilst we were having cream tea and felt more of a nusiance to them rather than paying customers

No heating in my entire stay, room not cleaned for two days, had to find the cleaner to organize my booked breakfast. This was very unpleasant as I ended up with a rotten cold. But find it very strange as stayed there previous many times & all not bad. Also I’m a overseas traveler.

upon arrival i was shownto my room where the room was filthy!! i complained and was offered another room which also was not up to standards, i asked for a refund where i was told that wouldnt be a problem, i am now being told i cant have th refund as they believe the room was perfectly fine, the room was nothing like the pics they show on the website these were clearly taken a very long time ago. avoid!!
Room was clean and staff very friendly.
A girl behind the bar very kindly offered to give us a lift to a restaurant as no taxis available- very kind.
Breakfast was delicious on our second morning but hotel was unable to accommodate our earlier start the previous morning, only offering a 1 hour breakfast window 9-10am on a weekend. We stayed there for easy location to Santa pod but probably won’t stay again as we’re up and out on race days.
Lovely hotel and even lovelier staff. Could not have been more helpful or attentive. Stayed here as we were attending a wedding and it was perfect. The staff were extremely helpful in helping us arrange transport to and from the venue. Had such a lovely stay. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable.
very friendly staff member . Christian was so helpful. Breakfast was great, you could help your self to full English. They even had smoked salmon!
The hotel has been refurbished making it more modern.
Unfortunately they do not do food on Mondays evenings but apart from the a value for Money hotel that met my requirements and needs for an overnight work stay
