It’s a wonderful old building, even with all the extensions and reconfigured spaces, and the beer garden is attractive. The location couldn’t be bettered, very close to the abbey, the many shops, cafes and restaurants. Free hotel parking. As the hotel backs onto the river, you can gaze across extensive meadows to the Malvern Hills.
The room was quiet, comfortable and a good size. The staff were polite, affable and helpful. The breakfast was edible and inexpensive, but mediocre. The staff on duty were helpful and cheerful.

All staff very friendly, helpful at all times. The Breakfasts and one evening meal for the group of 10 were excellent. Staff so efficient, the best we've had anywhere. The bar, lounge and dining area were very welcoming and comfortable.
Ideal location for easy access off/on the M5 . Plenty of parking, access to 24 hour services. Good if you are travelling alone. Feel safe .
Good nights sleep with all the facilities you could need.
Starting to look a bit tired but adequate for a short overnight stop….

Good facilities for all travellers.
But sooooo noisy!
Good facilities for all travellers.
But sooooo noisy! Loud music together with noisy crowds make for difficult 'calm down time' from travelling. You can do something about the loud music, but obviously not about the crowds!!
Not normally a hotel I would book but served my needs perfectly as a quick stopover during a long trip North. No bar or food on the premises as this is provided next door in the Strensham Services…McDs was my choice for evening meal. Being on the motorway there is no alcohol on sale anywhere…sensible but if you do like a nightcap…bring that with you :-) The room was clean and adequate but had seen many many guests over the years.
Room was comfortable and very clean, I was impressed with the attention to sanitization of items, very reassuring guests that might be concerned about covid. Sophie was a superb receptionist, extremely helpful and pleasant. Anna was also very nice and helpful, they are both great advertisements for your hotel
spacious room as had our 2 dogs with us, comfy large new? bed and large new? sofa
dogs now have their own loyalty cards so after 5 visits, 6th free!
dog treats and water bowls in reception for them great value being charged £10 per night each, as another hotel we stayed at charged £35 per night each!
The hotel is at a motorway services, I said I’d be arriving late, when I did arrive late. When I got there the motorway was closed for a PLANED 5 evening period and I could not get to the hotel.
They still took my money although they knew I would not be able to get in. Technically theft.
I cannot give a higher rating for cleanliness because we, unfortunately, discovered the next day that the room had bed bugs and my husband and I were covered in bites on our forearms, lower legs and face. Horrible!
Thankfully, the hotel has given us a full refund.
Functional hotel for stopping off whilst on your travels. On the plus side room was large enough to accommodate two adults, two children and our dog. Hotel is based on a service station. Macdonald's, Costa, spar and a few other facilities on site
We had travelled up from Cornwall and the traffic was horrendous so pulled into strensham and booked a room and the staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough for us including telling us about the money voucher for use in the services
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We had our 86 year old father with us & the staff were very kind about us using their fridge. We will definitely use this hotel & location again when exploring the areas near by.
