What a wonderful place to stay in such an idyllic and peaceful location. Everything you need is available, of great quality, and Sue is a very nice engaging host, who is there to show where, and how it all works. The annexe is delightful, private, peaceful with everything at hand. Great wifi, quiet, with a small veranda to sit on, and listen to the stream running past and the birds singing. Near to many attractions, yet far enough away to be secluded in tranquil countryside. This is a beautiful part of the country, with great views, and small villages to see, and of course, nice country pubs, To base yourself here, you would not be disappointed. Had a wonderful nights stay and would galdy do so again.

The trout streams running at side of pavement are a delight, especially after dark when the trout can be seen swimming around.

A ribbon town over various tributeries of the River Test and the River itself. A lot of shops to facilitiate the very expensive chalk stream trout fishing, and other outdoor activities. Everyone we spoke to were very pleasant. Interesting gardens nearby (Houghton Lodge) and also the Leckworth (John Lewis) estate.

Overall it was satisfactory but it would have been better to have had 2 chairs in the double bedroom, rather than one person having to sit on the bed! Mayfly room above kitchen subject to appreciable noise from the kitchen equipment when being operated. Instructions for using internet unclear.

And when you write a review pointing out to the landlord that the promised breakfast never arrived....does he apologise ? No...does he do or say anything...No.
His food is excellent, but if I'm promised breakfast and he's sleeping off a hangover after a "lock in" with locals, well frankly that's not my problem....I paid for breakfast, you gave me nothing.....facts....
My suggestion to other travellers, Saturday dinner is very very good , don't expect breakfast.

Stockbridge is a lovely area and although the hotel was off a roundabout it wasn't noisy. The hotel is at one end of the village and there are plenty of lovely independent shops along the high street. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. You can tell this is a popular hotel by the fact that you need to book a table if you want to eat there.
I have stayed in quite a few hotels recently with work and can safely say The Three Cups Inn was the very best.Amazing value for money and will definitely stay again. The room was amazingly comfortable, as was the bed, the facilities were second to none, and the food (Breakfast and supper) were fabulous. The garden of the Inn was incredible also. The staff were friendly and courteous and this Inn is clearly loved by locals and guests alike.
It was my first time at this property, and I will be back.
The first thing is the service that the Greyhound on the Test Hotel provides - It was a great experience from check-in to check-out, and everything in between.
The food was great (evening meal and breakfast were both lovely), and they also had a good selection of local real ales.
Very nice bedroom and ensuite, and very clean.
I definitely recommend.
Really nice hotel/pub, located less than a mile from, the army air Corp museum, so location was excellent, stayed in a single ensuite room, with very comfortable bed, room was well appointed, clean with what looked like a recently refurbished bathroom, food was also rather nice, staff were happy, smiley, and helpfull
The room was cosy and we had a dog with us...the lovely little touch of the biscuits and ball was very nice.
The walk in disabled shower was perfect for my husband who walks with a stick.
Staff were very welcoming and very helpful in choosing a vegan wine.
My wife happened to be ill from a previous locations poor dinner and so was feeling queasy and hesitant to eat the dinner we had booked. The staff offered her soup and a custom plain cheese for her while I had the full works on room service.
I arrived early before my partner to take tea in the drawing room
Delightful and very helpful with my enquiries
Our room was so comfortable and in splendid surroundings in the garden mews
We are looking to come again before winter
The restaurant and menu were excellent. Waiting staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Much better than usual in a hotel of that size.
The Manager was very helpful in arranging for transport, when we needed it unexpectedly.
The staff were very welcoming and efficient, the food was great quality and the rooms were very comfortable and well designed. Also, the hotel is in a beautiful village in a lovely rural quiet location .
