The George Hotel, Dereham, hotel in Southburgh

Situated in East Dereham, 31 km from Blickling Hall, The George Hotel, Dereham features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

The Four Poster bed was great, but it was a bit off putting as right next to it were a set of bunk beds, so not as cosy as we thought. Other than that it was great. The staff were great and helpful and the breakfast was superb and great value!

Southburgh itself is small and very remote with access via single track lanes - just a bit too remote for our liking personally. Close to Hingham which is nice and has facilities (pub, shop, tea rooms, fish & chips, supermarket etc.) Had a very nice meal in the White Hart (but a taxi to/from was £40).
