Both the female members of staff were superb they couldn’t have been more helpful. I hadn’t selected a twin room so there was a slight delay getting the bed split and remade into twins but as soon as the lady in charge realised we needed a twin she was straight on to sort it for us. The grounds were lovely for the dogs.

Delightful historic building, full of character, a bit compromised by being right on the A1 but a lot more quiet than the location might suggest. Really nice couple running the place, it's obviously a labour of love.

We only stayed the one night as we needed to break our journey to Scotland. It was very convenient for the A1. It looks like a very pleasant, quiet village, but I don't know what facilities are in the area.
