The accommodation was very clean and was well equipped with everything you would need.
We practically loved the games room and cinema TV.

The accommodation was excellent. Quiet and peaceful with no noise from the bar/restaurant downstairs. The food was also very good especially breakfast. Best of all was the location near the Ilkley moor.
Shipley is well connected for cheap travel by train or bus.
Shipley is well connected for cheap travel by train or bus. There are regular trains to Leeds, Bradford, Saltaire, Ilkley etc.
There are towpath walks along the Canal (or river Aire) to Saltaire which is well worth a visit. We walked all the way to Keighley and then got a train back.

Shipley is a great location for visiting Saltaire.
Shipley is a great location for visiting Saltaire. We went for Saltaire Beer Festival which also coincides with Saltaire Village Festival and it's an ideal time to visit. It also helped that the weather was beautiful. You can walk along the canal and take a barge trip. On Sunday's you can take a trip on the tramway from Saltaire which is great fun but do check times and seasons. The former Hop is now called Salts Beer. It serves great food and now has a micro brewery to visit. Try their Alpaca which is delicious. In the opposite direction is Saltaire Brewery which has been brewing great ales for a good few years now. Check times for Tap Room and the monthly beer club. Salts Mill is a World Heritage Site and also houses the David Hockney Gallery. Not telling you any more about it as you really must go and discover it yourself! There's plenty of choice for places to eat all around the area.
