My host was so friendly and kind, waiting up for my late arrival after my van broke down and offering tea and refreshments despite it being so late. The breakfast was great, very well stocked. The room was very comfortable and clean. All staff were lovely to chat with. The option of an evening meal was very welcome. Easy to find and a great location for visiting Great Dixter. I hope to return.

The Brickwall hotel holds a commanding position at the top of a small village main street overlooking a small green. There is one other pub/hotel and a general food store/post office...local drama soc and appears to have an active community.it the Village hall. I guess it's an excellent venue for weddings and parties.

Lovely village, with a great friendly pub with excellent food- we were only down 4 nights visiting a cousin and ate at the Queens Head twice. On this occasion we didn't see the geese on the village green, but ths might have been for safety reasons regarding bird flue.

The Brickwall hotel was dated and not very dog friendly due to being segregated at all meals. They also expect you to pay a set price for evenings there wasn’t a separate for menu so you had to pay up to £30 plus. Best thing about Sedlescombe is the Queens head pub amazing food amazing stuff great place to visit every day we was there we ate at the Queens head rather than the hotel has better choice.

Not a place to make the destination but a good base for visiting the surrounding area. We had a wine tasting visit locally & also visited Winchelsea & Rye. Bodium Castle is nearby. The pub in the village & the local shop were both good.

Good hotel in good location - i booked last minute-ish so was happy to get somewhere near Rye. There was plenty of parking and a good breakfast. the room was spacious and in a good location in the hotel. Apart from the first night, it was a quiet place to stay.
Everything went perfect during our stay. The hotel is surrounded by green spaces, which is very relaxing. Our room was even more comfortable than expected. King size bed. Amazing breakfast, with both English and Continental options.
We loved everything about the golf hotel. There was a lovely lady that helped us upon arrival, then helped us with cab number, then at breakfast also was very attentive. She is worth her waiting gold.
