Cottage was brilliant. Clean, comfortable and the sun porch was great. My wife just wanted to spend our time out there. Would come back again and recommend to anyone. Just sorry we missed meeting Shevaun. She was busy and so were we with delays and problems with the ferry, but good communication.

Lovely, clean, great cooked breakfasts, and near enough to walk into town. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'd seen some negative reviews and I'm glad I chose to ignore them. I would gladly stay here again.

It's right at the bottom of Orkney mainland but, with a car, everywhere is accessible. It's walking distance from the Pentland ferry connecting Orkney to the Scottish mainland. There are decent facilities with a shop and a pub. It's just a really nice place that feels safe. The houses and the streets had Christmas trees and lights up to make it feel really festive. A good place to make a base.
