Norfolk Hotel, hotel in Saint Helier Jersey

With a outdoor swimming pool, Norfolk Hotel is just 5 minutes’ walk from the centre of St Helier and the picturesque Howard Davis Park.

The staff are all very hospitable, welcoming and helpful. Exceptionally clean everywhere, well maintained. Efficient breakfast service, we didn't try the evening meals but the choices sounded good. Bus stop right outside the hotel but also easy to walk to main bus station or around St Helier, also a lovely park nearby. Dip in the outdoor pool was refreshing.

I hadn't considered what to expect in Jersey but was pleasantly surprised. The island is beautiful with a very laid-back feel to it. St Helier is the perfect size to walk around with plenty of places to eat and drink, and nice quality shops. It has the feel of a nice country town. Be aware that most restaurants close around 9.00pm so don't get caught out! The bus from outside the airport took us straight to the town and it is easy to travel around the island from the bus station in St Helier. Helpful staff and a choice of bus tickets for longer stays. We took an afternoon tour around the island which helped us decide which areas we wanted to visit again. We visited in spring so the blossoms were out, and Jersey has the most beautiful vast beaches. Friendly and helpful people everywhere we went which added to the experience.

    Great selection of restaurants.

Great selection of restaurants. We had superb meals at The White Horse, Roseville Bistro and Petisco Tradicional all within walking distance of our hotel. Not so impressed with cake at Pomme D'Or Cafe. Loved the cycle paths along the sea front and marked cycle routes out to the War Tunnels and Gorey Castle were excellent.

This could be a lovely place.

This could be a lovely place. We found almost everything in the area closed. Websites didn’t reflect museums, galleries being closed for staff training or just closed. I recommend checking by calling each place to be sure. Many shops closed down and restaurants close at 9pm. The only thing open to do was the cinema and bowling which was not signposted and hard to find plus feeling like a bowling alley from the 70’s. A number of places no longer exist, like arcades and attractions for kids. Overall it felt like stepping back to the 1980’s. If you want beaches and to eat then it’s lovely but therefore would only recommend in the summer months. People are very friendly and helpful.

Well situated hotel for all town facilities. Easy walks to bus station, restaurants and museums. Great marina/coast views from sea-side rooms. Accessible room does not have a walk-in shower but the low rise bath with shower over has plenty of grab rails. Very helpful and welcoming staff, and plenty of them - few queues. Pool is not signposted at all but using it is straightforward. Breakfast very convenient and excellent choice. Specially ordered omelette arrived promptly.

Really big comfortable bed, plenty tea, coffee, milk and sugar to use. We were in room 34 which was a family room so a good size. If they changed the carpet from red to taupe, it would match the furniture and look much better. Decent shower and plenty of towels. Fabulous breakfast each morning before exploring the island. Bus stops right outside the hotel and once you get your bearings not that far to walk into the town centre. Beautiful beach across from the hotel also

The food served was excellent and very enjoyable. Our room was not large but it was one of the standard rooms and it had everything needed. TV, shower, comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities. The pool area was lovely to sit around in the sun. We loved the restaurant, it had a lovely ambiance and we found all the staff very friendly. There was parking behind the hotel and the town centre and harbour was a short walk away.

Hotel was like an oven, far too hot for comfort. The room was baking and I could t sleep. Contacted reception who promised to move me whilst I went to work, but they failed to do so. Really terrible.stay. I get the raft of good feedback but not the experience I had. I even emailed the general manager regarding my stay... he's not bothered to even acknowledge my email let alone reply to it. Disgusting

Hotel\Room : 8\10 - we always compare the shower to our own and ours was superior so the hotel lose 1 point - the hotel is grand and we loved the elegant ambience even though we believe we were dispatched to what was the servant quarters with no view - lose another point. Food : 9/10 - breakfast was excellent as was dinner although a little overpriced - lose a point

Excellent cooked and continental breakfast with plenty of choice. We had a superb room with pool view, and everything you could need. Coffee maker, kettle, trouser press, safe, big TV, free WIFI, ect. The beds were made every morning, even bottles of water left in the room. The look of the hotel was always clean and tidy, would certainly stay again!

From start to finish, our stay at Grand Jersey Hotel was exceptional. The hotel itself was well maintained and clean, the facilities were amazing (especially the relaxation room in the spa), the staff were fantastic- we were treated like royalty and the food was extremely good.
