We enjoyed staying in the property, the hot tub was lovely and a lot easier than other wood burning ones I’ve used before! We enjoyed using the communal fire pit as well. The place itself was peaceful and lovely and warm.
Set in Heydon and within 10 km of Audley End House, The Red Cow features a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi.

Fabulous pub, lovely location, excellent rooms which were the standard of a great boutique hotel, high powered shower, lovely food and good real ale. The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming.

The photo made the room look more spacious than it actually was, there were too many things in such a small room, and items added since the photo was taken that made the room uncomfortable to use. Noting 8m in the offering did not translate as the photo.
The host is lovely and really would do well to buy a bigger place and transfer her skills there.
Royston itself is a sweet little town with everything within 5 minutes

Nobody at the Coach House when we arrived, waited 30 minutes for some one to be there. The room was not in the main building, it was clean but more like a motel in the middle of nowhere. They were not very friendly gave us the key to the room and that was it. We decided not to stay and booked a room at The Old Bull Inn in Royston. Royston was very good with a nice Park some good pubs and shops too. Our stay at the Old Bull Inn was perfect but tight for parking

We didn't actually visit the town of Royston and the Coach House Hotel is a bit off the beaten track but ideal for the Duxford Imperial War Museum and not too far from Audley End House, which was our main reason for choosing this hotel and the beautiful city of Cambridge is not too far away and a must see.

It looked a very pleasant place to visit with a nice park to wonder around in. The visit was for work so was too short to look around further.
Will probably go back and visit as part of a holiday in the future.

A beautiful old English town with character, great eating establishments.
I'm not sure it would be considered a tourist town; but I was there for the airshow at Duxford; so the location was perfect for me.

We were only here to visit our daughter in Addenbrookes Hospital and visit her home in Royston.
We had a nice meal in a Thai restaurant the evening before. But it’s a quiet town with very little to do.
The property was filthy and was full of mould. The toilet was blocked and no hot water. It hadn’t been cleaned for months there was dust webs all over the walls, dead flys in the sink. The smell hit you soon as you walked through the door I stopped 1 night and was straight out in the morning and been poorly since. Booking.com is so slow at investigating my claim and the hotel offered me 50% back. Please do not stay here for your own health. See pictures.
Breakfast was Good. Room was spacious with both a Bath and seperate Shower. Location was handy to Royston where we were attending a family function ,just a short taxi ride away. The room that we had is on the upper floor of a Barn Conversion and became very warm on a day of high temperature but an Electric Fan was provided. The staff were both Helpful and Friendly.Huge amount of Parking. This Hoe
All staff were super friendly and helpful the whole visit. Room was as advertised; lovely old building, with comfortable bathroom and bed. Breakfast was spot on everyday. Bar and pub food in restaurant were good standard. Hotel is in an excellent position in Royston; easy access through car park, and many local shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Local taxi drivers know the hotel.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed having a well sized bathroom and a big bathtub! Breakfast was included, and was absolutely excellent with good vegetarian options. I didn't sample the dinner menu, but there is food available on site and the drinks at the bar were good.
The location was fantastic close to the train station and the town of Royston, couldn't hear the trains though which was good. Communication about the key and how to get into the property including an issue with the main front door was superb. The flat was spotless and everything we needed
Have never stayed in a private house. But will certainly do it again if i can. I made an error with my booking only realising on my day of departure. I spoke to a lady who was house sitting and requested a extra night which was agreed to. If in Royston will use again. Thank you karen
Location was ideal for our party, just outside Royston where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Our host at the property was brilliant, very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was also excellent.
Hotel on a main road. We were in a separate block behind the hotel, so no traffic noise. Massive car park. Breakfast was fine. TV had an excellent choice of channels.
