Great value rooms especially as we stayed on the May bank holiday weekend. The lower priced rooms were maybe because there were building works going on in the old part of the hotel but that didn't disrupt our stay. Our room in the modern block was spacious and comfortable with good views over the city from the 7th floor. Great bathroom too, both bath and shower. Good free coffee in the reception area. We didn't eat in the hotel but the location was close to both the lovely city centre and the station where we could easily catch a bus to the zoo.

Breakfast lovely and good value for money, I was especially impressed with the breakfast chef, so friendly and great with my kids, went and made pancakes especially for her, he was lovely.
