Meals were superb, huge portions. Cooked to order but worth waiting for. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff willing to go the extra mile to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A quiet village about 10 minutes from the M6 north of Carlisle alongside the River Eden. Apart from Church View, the pub has re-opened (hooray), but does not currently serve food after 5 on Sunday (a disappointment).
