Chris and jane are so welcoming. Fernleigh is immaculate, our room was very homly with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. We were provided with refreshments in the room as well as dressing robes. The view was breathtaking. Breakfast was exceptionally good and well presented with an abundance of refreshments. Thank you Chris and Jane for a fantastic stay at your home. We will most certainly be booking up again and will highly recommend you to friends and family.x

The room was lovely. Very spacious and clean. The staff very friendly and helpful.
Good sized car park.
Robin Hoods Bay, we opted for a self catering 3 night stay.
Robin Hoods Bay, we opted for a self catering 3 night stay. The Bay is full of charm. Wonderful place to visit. Dog friendly beach. Beach combing for Whitby Jet and fossils at low tide. A must visit. The beach disappears at high tide but the Cleveland ways takes you both North and South on cliff top walks. Smugglers Wine bar was wonderful, we opted for a takeaway as we had the dog, lovely Pepperoni Pizza and home made chorizo, cheese burger, chips and coleslaw. All piping hot. And a lovely glass of Larger while I waited.
The Fish Box. Traditional fish and chips shop with amazing sea views and has take-away seating inside and out, all cooked fresh, I had the large haddock chips and curry. Skin on, the best Fish and Chips I've had in a long time. We will back in the Spring.

Absolutely love this place, busy on a weekend; one downside is the pubs/restaurants tend to close mid week Tuesday and Wednesday when out of season.
There are some great pubs and fantastic cafe/takeaways.
Steep hill to the bottom, which is always a great walk back! The views and scenery are one of the best to be found on the east coast, especially when walking on the Cleveland way.

I love the quaint little streets especially down to the beach. It’s very picturesque and wonderful for photos.
I know there is a steep incline to the beach etc and I found it difficult getting back up it. Don’t know if there is any way that there could be some sort of transportation for older folk like me. It would be helpful if there was and for some information on a sign board near the top.

Extremely pretty bay with houses stacked on top of each other to create a warren of walkways to explore. The area isn't huge and it's advisable to book places to eat, we tried the following and all were fantastic The Bay Hotel, Smugglers Ale House, The Cove (has a lovely terrace) and Fish Box, however Brambles Bistro was probably our favourite we had breakfast and dinner there a couple of times. The roads are steep all around the bay and it's definitely walkers country limited access by car and the walk out isnt for the faint hearted! I can imagine it gets incredibly busy in the warmer months but I can totally see the attraction I beautiful town steeped in in history.

Love everything about Robin Hoods Bay.
Love everything about Robin Hoods Bay. From the the little quirky cottages to the view. There is a few pubs down in the bay as well as at the top, that serve food as well as drinks. There's a lovely fish shop a little way down to the bay. There's also some lovely little shops down there too. We love the Victorian weekend in December, with everyone dressing up and lots of activities going on, like the Christmas fair's, dotted around the bay. There's a lot of lovely walks around the area, so it's very popular with hikers and dog walker's.

Beautiful location. Very quirky with amazing history.
Beautiful location. Very quirky with amazing history. I'd recommend the guided ghost walk, especially on a dark night. Loads of lovely places to eat, dog friendly too. Also near to an enchanted forest, fossy falls. It a 10 minute drive. Not recommend for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues. Very steep hills and narrow streets

we stayed in room 16 for two nights. the room was exceptional. the view was even better and the food was to die for. I come from a cooking background and the presentation on show and the way in which the food was cooked was Michelin star worthy. fabulous food. everything that was needed was all in one place. the tea room, the restaurant and the pub suited everything we would need. robin hoods bay is a superb little area and this hotel by far has the best view. with a trail close by to walk along the cliffs through to Whitby
The room was very clean and spacious. Location good for us as both Scarborough and Whitby not too far away. Janet and Steve are a lovely couple and very knowledgable about the area. Although this is a vegetarian hotel and we are not vegetarians this was not a problem. The full english breakfast was good quality food and set us up for the day. Janets homemade sourdough bread was really nice. Thank you both we enjoyed our stay with you.
Nice B & B we had two Double rooms for 2 nights Family Wedding at Victoria Hotel, both rooms of a good standard and spotlessly clean with a flat screen tv and mini fridge in each room, the Breakfast was Fantastic a very good selection. Darren & Anna were nice hosts very knowledgeable about the area.
Breakfast very good. Location excellent! Right at the top of the hill next to the best stocked hotel and pub. Landlady bright and cheerful and eager to please.
