Pleasant staff. Clean room with a very comfortable bed. Nice to be able to eat without having to go out.
Good choice at breakfast.
The Wheatsheaf Hotel is set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. The restaurant serves dishes made using local recipes and produce, and the bar serves real ales.

I have stayed at The Wheatsheaf on 3 seperate occasions and everytime i feel welcomed. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble there is a variety of food avaliable for breakfast dinner or a lunch time bite, all of which is delicious and great portion sizes.
Location is absolutely perfect for sight seeing. we had 2 nights stay and saw so much of the surrounding beautiful countryside

Pubs nearby are still 10/15 mins drive- no where to eat after like 8pm…as pubs don’t serve food after this time.
Do not go to the kebab shop in Redmire it took 30 mins wait to make and was awful lol.
Nice quiet quaint village perfect to get away from city life but not much to do and not many choices of food.
‘Saffron’ the Indian restaurant I was skeptical about but I was actually amazing food and staff!

Quiet, friendly village.
Quiet, friendly village. Good pub, excellent views and ideally situated for a visit to Castle Bolton and surrounding waterfalls and walking trails. Not too far from Catterick, where there are plenty of shops and facilities, and the local villages nearby have a good selection of pubs and restaurants.

I didnt spend too much time to explore redmire other than a stay at local glamping pods and a visit to the Bolton arms pub for a evening meal, which I must say is excellent with friendly staff.
There are plenty of wonderful things to do within 15 miles or so of redmire such as visiting forbidden corner which I recommend wholeheartedly....its ace 👍
Also aysgarth falls, so beautiful and calming.
Other child friendly interests close by such as working farms and entertainment suitable for all ages.

Redmire is a very picturesque place.
As we had not been to this part of the Dales before we didn't know what to expect but it very scenic.
We particularly liked Wensleydale but disappointed to see 'charges' to see anything of interest. Leyburn was also a very nice place to see.

Another 5 star review for this fabulous B&B.
Another 5 star review for this fabulous B&B. The room was spotless and well equipped with a very comfortable bed. The mini fridge, stocked with some goodies, was a great addition as was the homemade cake - very welcome after a lovely long walk. Breakfast was very well cooked with lovely local produce - it kept us going all day!! The owners are very friendly and helpful and the customer service is second to none. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay!
Overall a fabulous stay in a beautiful part of the world.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Bolton Arms located in the picturesque village of Redmire. Our Superior double room was well decorated and had the added bonus of a lovely balcony. Our evening meal was delicious (and the chef was kind enough to provide me with the recipe for his gorgeous white onion soup) The full English breakfast was also really tasty and perfectly cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive and we loved the beer garden in the sun! We will definitely be back!
The tranquility of Redmire was reflected in The Old Town Hall but the warm welcome from David & Louise are what makes this B&B stand out. Not just their hosting but the little touches like homemade cake, bread and jam (not forgetting the truffles and wine). Nothing was too much trouble.
Clean room, good food and drink and excellent location. The village of Redmire is lovely and the pub itself is lovely too, and well kept. Lovely breakfast served with a smile.
