Food in the restaurant was above expectations. Staff was polite and professional.
Value for money is also fantastic.
Would definitely come back if we visit the Lakes again.

such a great stay!! it was the cheapest stay on booking.com so i was a bit nervous at first but honestly it was perfect and amazing value for money! the room was really rustic and cute and the bathroom was in great condition, the owners were really lovely and were really attentive. the breakfast was really good too!! was just a good classic full breakfast but i was really surprised to see they did veggie and vegan options too :) i’m only giving a lower rating than 10 as we didn’t try any of the lunch or evening food unfortunately so i can’t give it a good rating. but all in all it was a lovely little inn!!!

Beautiful location with lots of history within walking distance. The ratty train was also a lot of fun and took us to Eskdale where you can climb up to see a waterfall.
The Inn at Ravenglass had amazing food and we will definitely be going again!

But the staff is not helpful I traveled 2 hours from Yorkshire and the staff told me I can’t check in before 3 and I wait for my room nearly 3 hours just sitting on the chair and I booked 2 rooms me and my friends but they gave me 2 rooms in two different buildings I request them just manage our rooms to near each other but they say they can’t which make us very very sad 😭

We loved walking round and seeing the steam trains.
We loved walking round and seeing the steam trains. The local shop/post office seemed a bit odd. There were papers all over the place and the owner was willing to sell us out of date orange juice. Honestly felt like we had just walked into an old man's living room. Felt very uncomfortable. Had to travel quite a way to get food. But such a beautiful area! Would definitely go back. A definite for train lovers!

A great place for a relaxing break.
A great place for a relaxing break. Lovely to look out over the river estuaries at high or low tide and listen to the curlews and oyster catchers. Not a traditional seaside location, but interesting, with things to do within walking distance or a short drive. Furthest place we went was Wastwater - beautiful scenery and good place for wild swimming, paddling or kayaking. Ravenglass has beautiful sunsets and is so quiet!! Nice to get away from busy, commercial areas
Excellent position overlooking the Solway Estuary, easy to find in the Main Street of Ravenglass. The property is attractive and well maintained. We had booked a small twin room and whilst it was small, the space was more than adequate for our needs. There was a guest lounge but on the occasion of our visit it was closed as a Covid precaution. A comprehensive 'tick box' breakfast menu completed the night before led to a well cooked tasty breakfast served in a sunny dining room. All in all, an excellent choice - recommended
It was perfect in terms of space, and was in a wonderful quiet spot. The views are so pretty in the morning and at sunset.
The staff at the hotel that helped us were absolutely exceptional. Kind, helpful and happy! We had our toddler with us and they made sure we had a cot bed for her and even brought us a high chair.
We will very happily visit again.
The room was clean and modern, and very comfortable. The staff was helpful and accommodating. We arrived late the first night after a long international flight, and they worked with us to make sure we could get dinner at the Pennington Hotel, which was so appreciated after 24 hours of travel and not much in the way of a proper meal.
The location of this hotel is breathtaking!no amount of photos could ever do the views justice
Staff were amazing from check in,through dinner to breakfast and at check out.i requested another bed ontop of the 3 in the family room and that was no problem either.both dinner and breakfast were beautiful.the hotel was spotless
Located in the centre of Ravenglass, close to local pubs. Parking directly outside. Large and spacious accommodation with really helpful hosts always available. Beautiful cabin with every small detail catered for, plenty of facilities to stay in and cook. Lots of room for boots and hiking kit, washing machine available.
Stunning views. Perfect for watching the sunset or sunrise if you're up early enough.
The room was huge - we said they could have two rooms in the space.
The food (from the Hotel a few doors down) was superb and comfy sofas in the bar area were very comfortable.
Food & drink prices were reasonable for 'Hotel' prices.
great staff, very helpful on phone before we arrived, very friendly on arrival, Nothing too much trouble, Dean was exceptional. The food really was amazing, so was the service. very warm feel to the hotel, I chose it cos it was opposite the estuary n very scenic, n 15 min drive from scafell pike.
Fantastic views of the Estuary. The pub downstairs - separate business, newly opened - offered excellent meals. Breakfast was taken in the main dining room in the Pennington Hotel.
Lovely dog friendly hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, great bar, great food, free parking. Absolutely fantastic location, our room had the most incredible sea view.
Comfiest beds we have slept in. The bedlinen was fantastic quality. Fantastic breakfast at The Pennington Hotel in Ravenglass due to Covid restrictions.
