The first day was not as good as second day, bacon looked like it had been made hours earlier even though we were 1 of the first in as was black pudding. The rest was fine. The room was excellent though we found the toilet extremely hard to flush.

this is an unmanned hotel. Keys were left at the porch. It's immaculate and dog-friendly. The sea and beach view on the 2nd-floor room was beautiful!

The staff, hospitality, the food are all bang on point. It’s a no nonsense friendly hotel. Went for a nice walk on the fantastic beach on the doorstep. And in the evening you get the greatest of sunsets with the Isle of Man on the Horizon. I’d go back again.

Beautiful location with lots of history within walking distance. The ratty train was also a lot of fun and took us to Eskdale where you can climb up to see a waterfall.
The Inn at Ravenglass had amazing food and we will definitely be going again!

We loved walking round and seeing the steam trains.
We loved walking round and seeing the steam trains. The local shop/post office seemed a bit odd. There were papers all over the place and the owner was willing to sell us out of date orange juice. Honestly felt like we had just walked into an old man's living room. Felt very uncomfortable. Had to travel quite a way to get food. But such a beautiful area! Would definitely go back. A definite for train lovers!

A great place for a relaxing break.
A great place for a relaxing break. Lovely to look out over the river estuaries at high or low tide and listen to the curlews and oyster catchers. Not a traditional seaside location, but interesting, with things to do within walking distance or a short drive. Furthest place we went was Wastwater - beautiful scenery and good place for wild swimming, paddling or kayaking. Ravenglass has beautiful sunsets and is so quiet!! Nice to get away from busy, commercial areas
Excellent position overlooking the Solway Estuary, easy to find in the Main Street of Ravenglass. The property is attractive and well maintained. We had booked a small twin room and whilst it was small, the space was more than adequate for our needs. There was a guest lounge but on the occasion of our visit it was closed as a Covid precaution. A comprehensive 'tick box' breakfast menu completed the night before led to a well cooked tasty breakfast served in a sunny dining room. All in all, an excellent choice - recommended
We had a lovely sea view room, though on the ground floor so on view to passersby. Windows opened for the sea air and room was nice. Parking is first come first served behind the hotel and could be a bit tight on the dirt lot. The breakfast was good and the dinner was very good in the hotel dinning room, but reservations should be booked BEFORE you arrive even for residents.
It was perfect in terms of space, and was in a wonderful quiet spot. The views are so pretty in the morning and at sunset.
The staff at the hotel that helped us were absolutely exceptional. Kind, helpful and happy! We had our toddler with us and they made sure we had a cot bed for her and even brought us a high chair.
We will very happily visit again.
The room was clean and modern, and very comfortable. The staff was helpful and accommodating. We arrived late the first night after a long international flight, and they worked with us to make sure we could get dinner at the Pennington Hotel, which was so appreciated after 24 hours of travel and not much in the way of a proper meal.
Stunning views. Perfect for watching the sunset or sunrise if you're up early enough.
The room was huge - we said they could have two rooms in the space.
The food (from the Hotel a few doors down) was superb and comfy sofas in the bar area were very comfortable.
Food & drink prices were reasonable for 'Hotel' prices.
great staff, very helpful on phone before we arrived, very friendly on arrival, Nothing too much trouble, Dean was exceptional. The food really was amazing, so was the service. very warm feel to the hotel, I chose it cos it was opposite the estuary n very scenic, n 15 min drive from scafell pike.
Location perfect in the heart of Ravenglass, very friendly, knowledgable & approachable hosts, well equipped log cabin & v nicely laid out / furnished interior. Off-street parking adjacent to log cabin & it felt very private. Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed for one night in July. The location was great, just across the road from the sea.The hotel was clean and welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful. Room facilities were excellent and the evening meal and breakfast were to a high standard.
Beautiful place to stay, wonderful grounds, views, owls and staff and family. Spacious simple warm rooms, large bath towels, big kitchen if you want to self cater, great coffee shop.Ravenglass and Pennington pub just down the road.
Great location, and a great view. The hotel was next door so we were able to talk to the staff whenever we needed and could use the bar. Nice spacious house, and plenty of room for all of us.
Booked the suite, lovely room, spectacular view! Nice facilities. Ate at the sister hotel, great meal. Went on the steam railway. Overall a great stay.
